Missed that news info yesterday. huh. And yeah. Awful and yet completely unexpected.

The tragedies in Norway, though were completely unexpected (to me) and just terrible.

Fruit snacks and tabouli with pita bread is a totally acceptable meal right? It completely complements the abuse/neglect files i'm going through.

    Over here!
I had Oreo cookies for dinner the other night, so I am uniquely qualified to hereby certify your meal as acceptable and nutritious!

OK, back to complaining about sportswriters being idiots on other forums... :p

    Tabouli w/ pita is heathly!

Good luck w/ what sounds like totally depressing work. I can barely handle listening to the news w/o getting either incredibly depressed or really angry.

it helps that I don't like kids.
it's not that terrible, I mean, the cases I have aren't god-awful. some of the case reports are inadvertently hilarious though.

Kitten, I recall that you are in the UP? At least you are not in Wisconsin...my family is going crazy there with the politics and job sh*t and all. Things have changed so much and are not looking good.

And yeah, tabbouleh is totally healthy! My friend told me one of the largest middle eastern populations in the US is in Michigan? Who would have thought?

I'm pondering that trip as a possibility as well. Not sure when the details come out. I seem to remember the WC qualifier tourney info coming out around 2 months ahead of time.

I'd have gone down to Mexico for that but wasn't in the cards because FC Dallas kept making a march towards MLS Cup. :D

It is very, very awesome. I'm going to use it as my own personal upper for weeks.

Watch the dog's eyes next time and how they look as his floppy skin jiggles up and down. hysterical.

And how the hell did they get that basset to run like that? I've never seen one older than 1yr move at more than a brisk walk.

That's the first thing I watched. My dog is a bassett. I love her laid back disposition. She's just starting to show her age but she still runs amuck with the puppies at the dog park.

Here's a pic of Nikki Bailey during the WC last year. She loves her some soccer just like me. LOL

Very cute dog you've got there.

My cousin has 2 bassetts. I've never seen them run. Of course the older one (male) weighs in at ~95lbs right now. He's also the biggest bassett (even b/f he got super fat he had a very big frame) I've ever seen.

Yeah. Nikki was the runt of her litter. Her dad weighed in at 95 lbs and her mom was 75 lbs. She maintains between 55 - 60 lbs. It is fun to watch her goof around and try to keep up with dogs that have longer legs at the dog park. Her best buddy at the dog park is a St. Bernard named Tiny. He does a slow saunter to stretch his legs and she's hauling to try to keep up with him.

My cousin's female bassett is on the small side, too. She looks tiny next to the guy who is best described as an ottoman. He lost weight to get down to a svelte 95lbs but he still doesn't move much. I love the bassetts.

Love that video and the cute basset with bandana. Hounds are the best! I grew up with a very bright and personable (but often disobedient) beagle.

They definitely go overboard with food if you are not careful, though. I knew a basset that figured out how to open a refrigerator - the family eventually had to padlock it shut.

And hounds have this particular way of begging where their face suddenly becomes extra furry and sad/cute to get what they want. I swear it developed through natural selection even before domestication...

My badge is so shiny it purifies the hethenry in the air :D

I loved it when they braided each others hair.

Thanks I miss the kk. This cup re-ignited my homerism.

It's a little different now, but it has the same feel. Kinda. I mean, it's a bit more grown up now, if you will ...
