Let me say I am a huge Bob Bradley fan. I would love to see him stay with US National Team as a consultant. That being said, this WHOLE year ( Not just the G.C.) the team seems to have taken a step back. The bottom line is the team is digressing. I would love to hear who US Fans would like to replace Bob in 2014 World Cup cycle. To start off the conversation these are 5 names that I read in an article, who I am familiar with. 5.Carlo Ancelotti 4.Marcello Lippi 3.Marco Van Basten 2.Guus Hiddink 1.Jurgen Klinsman
Would any of you mind having a Mexican coach. I know it is very unlikely to happen but just wondering your opinions.
Not any of the ones active right now. I might consider LaVolpe if he quits CR. Yeah he isn't mexican BLAH BLAH
Why not a Mexican-American coach.Jorge Salciedo the coach of UCLA. He has expernce and has been succesful with the Bruins. But I doubt he take the job. Lets face it you really don't have to be all that succesful coaching college. He also has been a pro. Something neither Bruce Arena or Bob Bradley have been. That has been the problem with the USMNT for the last 12years. Those two expect proffesional players to act like college kids and do everything by the coaches plan. No matter if it is not working. They neve allowed anyone to be creative they have know idea how to handle such players.
Interesting, but it sounds a lot like Bob Bradley with the additions of being a pro. I feel this is a big job, that needs a big name.
If he wins I don't mind what country he comes from. If a penguin from Antarctica became our coach and we start kicking some serious tail, I'll overlook the fact he's a penguin. He's just wearing a really nice suit, all the time.
I'm cool with the Penguin idea, but I think people are asking the wrong the question...Who says a Mexican wants to coach the US. From my experiences we are not too loved by the soccer culture down there
It is well documented in Big Soccer that I remain a strong supporter of Bob Bradley. However, if he were to resign, the U.S. should look for a coach that is strong on fundamentals and has a good track record of getting the most out of the talent he is given to work with. My suggestions would be Hector Cuper and Roy Hodgson.
I am fond of Hector Hugo Eugui and Víctor Manuel Vucetich. I also don't mind Enrique "Ojitos" Meza- He may have sucked in his tenure for the Tricolor, but I think his style would suit the USMNT and he would be a better fit here.
Kreis a lot of people like but I don't think you would improve from Bradley...you would be getting the same thing. Fraser, I don't see it happening.
Enrique "Ojitos" Meza is a solid coach but I don't think he would be good pick, I don't see US fans embracing him...
I love Pia and she is in the right place for her with the women's team. Lets focus on candidates that are more suitable and actually has a chance to succeed.
