I would definitely come down for this match if it comes to be true.

We almost got Everton last year, because David Moyes has a house in Florida, so the team was going to be over here.

Regardless, Cotterill’s men are definitely staying in Charleston for a week and have lined up a friendly.

Cotterill said: ‘We may not be able to fit the game in in Orlando because there are a couple of Premier League clubs out there at the same time.

‘We are definitely going to Charleston – so it’s about trying to work on other games out there at this moment in time.

Is it too much to ask for even a second division German club to come over for a friendly? I mean hell, the folks from BMW would surely travel from the Upstate to see it.

My local team playing my English side's hated rival. . . .

". . .wash your mouth my son go get your fathers gun. . ."

Luckily nothing doing on the peninsula that night so I'll be at Blackbaud!

In a stroke of wonderful luck, I'm going to be about 4 miles away from Blackbaud stadium that day for other things. As long as I don't have an 8am at work the next day I'm definitely going to stick around and watch this! Been way too long since I've seen the Battery.

    Any plans for a tailgate?

    Fish,

awesome you can make it down. I know there are plans for a tailgate the details are still being worked out.

Also Fans can get a ticket for $12 if you call Suzanne at 971-GOAL (ext 218) and tell here you want to stand with the Regiment in E10!

Unfortunately, Im going to miss this match. Im heading to England for a couple weeks to to visit family. Im hoping its on usllive thought and will be wearing my jersey!

Damn, I really needed to pick up a jersey when I was down there. Although Mrs. goindownsouth said I would have looked like a big bumble bee.

Not sure that was a compliment. Perhaps. :)

Unfortunately it looks like I won't be able to make this game. Hitting the road either tomorrow or Friday morning to move back to DC and wont be able to make it. If the move wasn't this weekend we'd be there for sure. Grrr

Here are some photos of Greg Halford throwing (in) a first pitch at the local minor league baseball game on Friday night.
