Are you guys facing the same sort of situation as New England fans now, or was this a small thing?

because if it's league policy to harass supporters' sections from now on everybody has to watch out...

Not sure man. Watching it on tv there were supporters one second and the next they were gone. I like the show of unity though that most of them went upstairs.

Not sure yet. Gotta wait for more reports from people that saw it go down. Preliminary report looks like this:

All I know is this was ZipSix's first home game in a while. Make of that what you will.

Hi guys, I run SB Nation's Philadelphia Union blog the Brotherly Game. Been keeping tabs on stuff like this since the Sons of Ben decided to support the Rev supporters groups that got clamped down upon by the Revs.

I'm going to keep on on this thread, but I'm hoping someone/people can send me an email to scottadams97@gmail.com so I can put together a proper article on the situation.

There's a pattern of behavior that's beginning to become clearer each game in MLS. Articles need to start being written on the subject.

Nordecke sounded great, no matter where they were seated!

    .... another sorry farce.

Why are they always ragging on turbina? TBH I'm surprised there is still a turbina at all.

    No drum? WTF

Before the game we were sitting in LTA's section when some suit came up to us and asked us to move if we weren't members of LTA. We moved up a few rows and he thanked us and told us "the security is trying to get LTA to move back between HSH and Crew Union."

When I saw the drums leaving I asked what happened and was told from a member of LTA the drums aren't allowed in the front row so they were going to the upper deck. So we followed them. All of us.:D

To the groups: Well done. We are proud of the display of solidarity from the supporters section. I can tell you the action got A LOT of people talking about what was happening in our section on the other side of the stadium. It was awesome to see the other groups pour out and join LTA. It honestly gave me goosebumps.

To the FO and Mark McCullers: Seriously, you need to knock this sh*t off. Ridiculous harassment of your biggest most vocal fans. Shameful.

sounds like a meeting of the heads of the SG's is needed to get this all sorted out and then brought to MM and DeBolt to get it ended NOW before the 07/16 game.

I was down on the stage but what I liked about everyone going to the upper deck (besides the solidarity) was that it wasn't a section of Turbina, a section of HSH and a section of Crew Union. It was a mixed section of all three and sounded so much better.

At one point, Neil on the radio said to Dante, "I'm glad they're not right above us, we wouldn't be able to hear a thing."

I was there, and sorry to say, didn't know what happened. Would have moved upstairs if I did.

Anyway, great show by LTA, CU, and HSH. Another travesty from the FO and a bunch of trumped up meat-heads who are security.

It was a little reminiscent of when the Nordecke first formed, solidarity-wise. It was tight and it was solid. Regardless of what happens next game, hopefully the memory of how the togetherness sounded and felt will last.

This. I was wondering what happened, and would like to know why about 10-15% of the Nordecke stayed behind.

I stayed behind in 101 because there was a lot of overreaction from both sides and I'm there to support my team, not to say those that moved aren't. But so many moving was unnecessary in my book

Fair enough for those who stayed. It was curious to see the exodus, police coming from the tunnel heading that way, and some clumps of fans still there.

I blame Mendoza for it all.

When the team came to the corner to salute the supporters at the end of the game, Will Hesmer and Tommy Heineman made a special effort to point up to the supporters in the second deck, clap and acknowledge the support given from there.

That gives me hope that the team knows while we had left the corner for some reason during the game, we're still supporting the players on the field.

I hope leadership of the SG's and the FO can get this sorted out before the next home game on the 16th.

CSC staff are a bunch of meatheads who think 8 bucks an hour and a yellow "CSC" shirt makes them judge jury and executioner. LTA got kicked out tonight for sitting in the same spot they have been for the last 4 years, and playing drums like they have for the last four years.

That redneck goon with the grey mullet and goatee was getting in peoples faces all game long. He even threaten to kick not just me, but all of HSH out "if we chanted that again" when I asked what we were chanting, he just said if I talk back I was getting booted. Well F*ck you buddy, he found out what happens when you try to kick out one section. The treatment of fans in the Nordecke has plummeted since 2008 and this year has been especially bad. I am there to support my team, but I refuse to stand by while fellow fans are treated badly. That's why I moved.

    Go Crew, F*ck CSC.
It's a shame this black mark is marring the team's best performance of the season.

Honestly for the first time since 2008 seeing the section unit at the top was a beauty. Some people in the Nordecke don't get it that the reason that section was created is to UNITE one voice for the team they all support. CSC can kiss my @$$. They don't have nothing better to do really. As for our FO why don't they get off the high horse and do another Supporters Summit/Forum like they did in 08? Have the supporters voice their concerns. Granted the "leaders" of the SGs are doing their best but still it seems like more and more issues are coming about. Whoever is in charge of the CSC should be there in attendance. Think about it if this was Portland or Seattle would CSC do the same thing? Screw the whole f-ing "family friendly" environment. If the FO really wants to push for Family Friendly then stash them in the South End somewhere and away from the Nordecke. Oh and since when did Nordecke become seat specific? I think that was one of the issues as well.

Well, whatever the reason... An impressive debut for the Upper Nordecke.

The f-bomb chant, which I think we all know has been frowned upon for the last several years.

    To everyone:
Here's how I heard it. There are some basic rules of the Nordecke.
    1) No streamers on the field during the run of play
    2) No coordinated f-bombs
    3) No standing in the aisles. Go to your row, find a place to situate yourself in the row, and move in.
    4) No smoke bombs

...really, that's about it. We can stand on the seats, we can have drums, we can have certain types of flagpoles, we can have large flags, etc.

I was in 101, row 6, seat 1, so I had a fairly good view of what happened.

It seems like the issue tonight was that La Turbina had asked Crew Union and the FO to save them their section, as well as the lower portion of section 101, right beside section 141. It appears that not everyone got the word, as a number of people were being told by CSU members that the area was "reserved" for La Turbina. Hell, I didn't even hear about that until the tailgate, and that was just because I was standing next to where a conversation on the subject was taking place.

Maybe the "don't sit in the lower corner of 101" was posted here, but I missed it.

Anyway, LTA had their drums in a certain seat within their reserved section. Some girls (sounds to be about two in number) came up and were insistent to sit where the drums were. CSC came up and asked them to take a seat, as they were blocking the aisle.

Apparently, this didn't go over well with the LTA guy who decided to leave. When this happened, and there seemed to be a SMALL number of supporters (maybe 15-20 at most) involved, a number of people must have thought they were being kicked out. When the LTA guys appeared in the upper deck, the mass exodus occured.

At the end of the day, no one was kicked out. No one was asked to leave.

Honestly, it seems like the majority of the issue seems to be one we've been dealing with for quite a while, and i'm not sure how we can change it. The "North American mindset" is that things happen on a set schedule. If the bus is set to arrive at 12:15, we start to get antsy at 12:18. We look at our Crew tickets and see kickoff for 8 PM. We start to arrive in the Nordecke well before that, in order to get a good seat.

That's not how it works south of the border. South of the border, there's a saying... "Things happen when they happen." If the bus doesn't come at 12:15, maybe it comes at 12:20. Maybe it comes at 12:25. Relax...calm down.

LTA consistently arrives in the stadium late, but to them, it may seem like it's not a big deal.

We need to get the word out to the entire Nordecke that LTA has a specific section. Just because they're not in 15 minutes before kickoff like most other people doesn't you (or I) can sit there.
