NY Red Bulls @ Chicago Fire GT

Admin please start a new thread as I just want some discussion until the thread is created.

Chicago fire is a lackluster offense team.. If we allow more than 1 goals than Backe should be fired(srs).. How many times will we give up goals on set pieces?? It's been like this the whole season, do we practice that?

Like I said before Chicago is a lackluster team with no offense.. Backe needs to mix it up on the backline, how many times are you going to use the same backline that constantly gives up numerous goals. Start Hot, Bench Keel, start Lassiter, Move Taino back, etc. DO SOMETHING.. Stephen Keel and Miller aren't cutting it. I'd rather start Hot and see what he can do, if he plays poorly w/e we'll have Ream/Raffa coming back. Atleast Solli gives a great effort and does something positive week in and out unlike the other bums back there.

What's up with the Ballouchy love? I understand he works hard, wins his fair share of balls but he's just not a starting player.. He never looks to attack and always passes it back killing any momentum. Also when were down 4-2 put in some of the younger guys.. Perfect time to put in Hertzog, Rooney and Hot and give them some XP and some spark to the game.

    Positives were Solli and Richards.

Hopefully Henry is back and swinging so Ballouchy can GTFO, is Rodgers and Albright ready? We need to dominate the possession and play a defensive minded game and try to get counters. This backline has proven that they are one of the worst defensive units in MLS history.

    If I was Backe
[LINEUP-4-4-2]Henry, DeRo, Da Luz, Lindpere, Taino, Richards, Lassiter, Hot, Mendes, Solli, Condoul[/LINEUP-4-4-2]

Get a whole new backline backe!

    Game will be on ESPN!!

I have nothing against Sutton but I think it is Bouna time again after Sutton's multiple brain fart performance last night. I was proud our boys were able to fight back after going down 0-2 to Seattle. What a goal by Dane... He scored similar bomb golazos last year too. Tainio had a mixed bag performance but he did not mark his man well enough on the 1st goal. What is it with the Bulls and dead ball situations. Rafa and Tim can't get back soon enough. I wonder if Ream will fly out tomorrow night to play in the Chicago game after the Gold Cup.

I actually thought we might win this game vs Seattle. So did Backe as he drove the team to go forward. Not sure if that was a mistake as I would rather go for the win then the tie.

Anyway, on to Chicago. They have been piss poor this season in general. So a win is certainly a possibility especially if Titi plays. Go Bulls!

We're not winning until both Sutton and Keel are on the bench. Simple as that. What a lousy time for the schedule congestion.

I am so glad we are done with the turf as well. Hate the stuff

Chicago is not that good of a team and we should be able to get a result with a our still depleted roster. Thankfully this is the last game with out our players on international duty and then we can return to our strongest squad.

It has to be Bouna time for this game. Henry will obviously return to the lineup and hopefully Richards takes his spot on the right and Ballouchy goes to the bench. Dero will stay up top because Da Luz is still doing well and we are out of options.

For me better play any of the three kids (Snchneider, Lassiter or Hot) instead of Keel I don't think that we will loose anything the way Keel is doing, one auto goal or a penalty every game....and at front with Henry play Hertzog I think will do much better than DeRo as a striker....

    ...............Buona

    Solli....(Schneider, Lassy or Hot)...Mendes...Miller

    Richards.....Tainio.....DeRo......Lindpere

    ..................Hertzog......Henry

Well Schneider isn't even a center back, Lassiter doesn't even make the bench and I get the sense that Hot isn't ready yet. So as bad as Keel has played at times, just putting someone else out there for the hell of it might not be the smartest way to go.

Dero played well at forward the last couple of games so saying Henry + Hertzog > Henry and Dero is very strange to me.

Maybe I'm really just off on this, but I don't see where the praise for De Rosario is coming from the past few games. He was awful against Portland, he must have killed almost a dozen attacks with an atrocious first touch, and he was largely invisible against Seattle while completely blowing quite possibly the best scoring chance of the game.

DeRo play well at what?......I recommend to you to watch the games man.....

And Keel in the five games that he has played has committed two penalties, two auto goals and let the offense of the other team along to make like four another goals, and you will tel me that any other defender will do so bad like that... Come on, be real....

It's good that we do not have the early qualifing round for US Open Cup but it is a lot harder now to gauge who is progressing in game situations so I trust Backe that he is not ready. He played Ream right away and Agudelo eventually put himself in the mix so its not like he is afraid to play rookies

Greg Sutton has to sit. We can win this game if we break down the defense and an "on fire" Sean Johnson. Maybe we should go back to trying to poach Chicago players and go after him. Anyway, it's definately Bouna time.

Plus, if we win, we're back on top of Philthy. So, a win would be a bonus of making two hated rivals cry. (Yes, I hate Chicago)

If true, then Backe changed his mind in the last hour.

+1, Da Luz showed enough to be in the side ahead of Ballouchy in LM
