I actually think that's a great use of resources. Public libraries usually have rooms that can be used for free/low cost and this time of year public libraries get a good bit of traffic. The watch party could draw casual fans and then SBFC could get the word out more about their games and tix sales.

Team Hosting Women’s World Cup Final Viewing Party Before Sunday Match
Somerset, N.J. – Sky Blue FC (3-4-4, 13 points) is planning a Summer Soccer Celebration for this Sunday, getting the festivities started at 2:45 pm. with a viewing party of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Final on a big screen in the Yurcak Field parking lot. Following that screening, Sky Blue FC welcomes five-time FIFA Player of the Year Marta and the Western New York Flash to New Jersey, hosting the team at 6:00 p.m. in a nationally televised match that will air live on Fox Soccer Channel.
“This Sunday is the coming together of a lot of activities, and we are looking forward to a great atmosphere,” Sky Blue FC head coach Jim Gabarra remarked. “We hope to capitalize on all of the great exposure of the Women’s World Cup, which has truly led many new fans to the realization that women’s soccer is a great game.”
Once the viewing party concludes, Sky Blue FC will put on pink kits in observance of PUMA’s Project Pink initiative, which is a program developed to raise funds and support for breast cancer research. Throughout the opening 75 minutes of the game, the team will be taking bids on the pink game-worn jerseys at its tent on the concourse, giving fans the incredibly unique opportunity to win the shirts off the backs of its players. Proceeds from that auction will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Fans can also help support Project Pink by including #ProjectPink on daily tweets via their Twitter accounts, with PUMA donating a dollar a day per account which uses the hashtag.
“We’re so proud of the remarkable athletes and young fans who supported Project Pink in 2010, rocking their pink gear at WPS games, nominating their favorite charities and rallying behind them to drum up votes, and, of course, tweeting up a storm,” said Tara McRae, PUMA North America’s Vice President of Marketing. “The donation we made at the end of the season is a true testament to their passion. We’re excited to build upon that enthusiasm in year two alongside our roster of athletes, as well as with the incredible support of our two new teammates, Julie Foudy and Nina Dobrev.”
Sky Blue FC will additionally celebrate military members and first responders as part of Women’s Professional Soccer’s “See Extraordinary – Heroes” program, honoring all of those heroes in attendance at the stadium.
“Sunday will be a very entertaining day for those fans who attend our Summer Soccer Celebration,” Sky Blue FC General Manager Gioia DiFlumeri stated. “We kick things off with the excitement of the Women’s World Cup Final, and then we hit the field ourselves in a nationally televised game that is being done for a great cause in PUMA’s Project Pink initiative. We also honor those heroes who we owe so much gratitude. It will be a truly special day.”
Tickets for this incredible night of fun and soccer are available now, and they can be purchased today by calling 888-SBFC-TIX.

~30 people from my team will be there, and a whole lot more from our Club. Sure hope they have more than one screen, unless it's JumboTron sized.
