Yeah, this is the difference between journalism and blogging. Some bloggers (like Jeremiah) try to hold themselves to the higher bar of journalism. MLSR does not. Then again, not a lot of papers hold themselves to the higher bar of journalism: http://www.footballtransferleague.co.uk/newspaper_statistics.aspx
its MLS Rumors... of course they're wrong some of the time. I seem to remember them pegging the Ljungberg transfer correctly though.
Yes.. They get some right... Unfortunately most they get completely wrong. MLSR runs with pretty much anything people tell them and they've been punked a number of times because of that. They also tend to get more right on the Sounders.
I always have wondered how a Montero and Rodolfo Zelaya duo would fare... Wonder who the first Salvadoran to play for this franchise will be.
Sounders are interested in him, but the guy is using the Sounders to get better offers from European clubs. He's claiming we're offering him $200k a week, or about $10.4m. Hanauer already put the kibosh on that value.
A potential 6-month loan for Tagoe for the rest of the season. And like most loans seattle has an option to buy.
Obviously not. *laugh* Sorry. I'll do so now. Thought it was just another link to one of the multitude of "zOMG! Sounders are going to pay Prince Tagoe $200k a week!" stories.
Yeah there are a lot of "mays" and "mights" and "according to Ghanian Newspapers" in there. Is he in town or not?
I saw a tall black guy walking down the street the other day. It could have been him... Or a tall black guy. Here. Let me email my sighting to MLS Rumors and we'll see if they run with it.
You are quite reliable though. Although, I will say, they do have some decent accuracy with Sounders rumors. Probably has to do with them being located in Seattle... The rest of MLS, lots of swings and misses.
Well they do have a # of people running the site with the news. So they may have someone that's lives in the Seattle area.
Hopefully Prince was watching the game tonight, the lack of goal tending in this one would certainly have him drooling. And Forlan ain't coming here.
Seriously, just have the "highlights" from Sutton last night .... make 100 copies and send them out to the 100 best available FWD/AM's on the market and tell them that THAT is what you could be pounding the ball at ....
would love to see Tagoe in MLS... I could see this being true, but the site doesnt seem to be aware of Basel denying interest in him (or supposedly). It is still in the air, but so far from any done deal...
It seems to me like we passed on Sheridan. That makes me think Sigi and Adrian got their eyes on someone else.
Sounders need speed on the outside. The loss of Zakuani and the departure of Nyassi have really showed this team's overall lack of speed. El Flaco and Rosales have the best footwork, but they have no one to get the ball to that can outrun the defenders.
