Was wondering if anyone knew when The Cauldron would be coming out with their supporter scarf. Looking to add it to my growing collection (working on getting full collection pictures posted). Bored today so just surfing the internet looking for Sporting KC/KC Wizards/KC Wiz scarves and did come across a new scarf that I had not see or noticed before so thought I'd share. I already had the white fan scarf offered by most online retail soccer stores (below) ; however I never knew they came out with the similar scarf in the a different color verison. Found it at Kansas Sampler or Dick's Sporting Goods, figured I'd let the other scarf collectors out there know about it. Anybody know of any other place to look/find other scarves?
The white one was the one the players were given at the SuperDraft. Interestingly, the team representatives had never seen it - as it's an Adidas design.
I anchor 100 lb picture wire about one inch below the threshhold at the top of the wall on either end with the wire pulled as tight as possible. I use cable staples every 8-16" to keep it from sagging. I take two small binder clips and clip them onto the end of a scarf about an inch in from either side of the scarf (separating the fringe). I then fold the binder clip tabs down to run along the scarf, using the tabs on one side to hook over the picture wire. The inch on either side allows me to overlap scarves. All four walls of my television room plus the foyer are lined with scarves. I've got over 100 on display at any time.
Pre-sale for the three initial scarf designs should be up on the Cauldron website early next week. We had a meeting on Wednesday to narrow down the layout options, and we have a ton of good ideas. I am really excited about what we will come up with.
I will definitely be checking the website looking for the new designs. I have found some time to take some pictures of my collection and thought I would share them. I have 13 total (12 pictured, 1 on the way) not too bad for having started back in December 2010. If anybody could help me out by pointing me in the direction of more scarves to add to my collection, that would be truly appreciated. Thanks!
I thought I saw some SKC - Chicago Fire inagural game scarfs on people at the game last Thursday. I'm just wondering where people got those and if I could get my hands on one.
I thought I saw a wondering gypsy selling them. Those folks move on, don't have phone numbers or email addresses or anything ... no clue where he was headed. Probably taking a long and winding road to Houston.
wait. what? Worms come in bags now? Thought they only came in cans. where can one get said bag of worms?
PETA found out that the metal in cans can harm worms, stunt growth and otherwise cause a loss in quality of life. They managed to tack new regulations requiring all worms be sold in organic cotton bags to a bill that cut 25% of the budget using a 'Wheel of Fortune' method - such that politicians could vote to reduce the budget but not specifically vote to reduce any particular line item. It passed unanimously and now the penalty of keeping worms in cans is a $250,000 fine and 10 years to life in prison.
