It is unbelievable how our perceived best players always seem to get injured when we need them. We need to change this guys train or something because most players that arrive to the training camp injured always seem to get worst.

Beckeles, Thomas, and Emil can't pass the ball to save their lives.
We have a terrible midfield, those guys have missed so many simple passes.
They need to put Nunez in there for Emil and put Mejia instead of Thomas.

Disgraceful performance. Looked slow to do everything. Even with 9 men, Guatemala looked better and more comfortable with the ball. I have never seen some many bad passes and ball watching...Suarez will get lots of criticism but they players deserve most of it.

    embarrassment, period.

thomas was SO sloppy with his bad passing.
beckeles was good during the 1st 20mns, then it looked like he got tired.
bengston was only running out there.

chavez, muma & bonieck were the only good players i seen tonight.

but a complete embarrassment tonight. a hand to guatemala, they were the better team tonight.

    I agree with you guys.

Delgado's passing was atrocious too. Thomas should not start unless we are bunkering down against a superior team, he slows down the team so much and I didn't even see him break up many plays. We need a box to box midfielder badly, we either have troncos defending or passing.

I see all these guys passing as a last resort, they try to take on two or three defenders by themselves and then attempt an errand pass once they feel they are about to lose the ball. Either they do that or they choreograph the pass. The sad thing is that Suarez doesn't have anyone else to stick in there.

you could tell we missed Wilson Palacios in the middle and Emilio Izaguirre/Maynor Figueora on the bandas. Emilio Izaguirre would've added another attack while Maynor Figueroa would've been able to disrupt the Guatemalan back 4 with his precise long passes. Hopefully Juan Carlos Garcia can replace Brayan Beckeles.

Bengtson is so garbage lmao.. my god. How df is he 3 time goal scoring champ in Honduras. He's a poor mans Georgie Welcome imo. Georgie Welcome can atleast be a consistant aerial threat and get himself open.

Emil Martinez could've been better, but he isn't no Ramoncito or Mosky. Mosky has to comeback to the seleccion. El Mosky is just too much of a threat to leave out La Bicolor. He's fast as hell, creative on the wing, and can score, which is more than we can ask for compared to Emil who just passed back to dumba** Beckeles or tries some random a** cross.

But I', Glad to know our CBs were VERY good. Oscar Boniek the only dynamic player out there.

Palacios is not the only issue. The passing was abysmal by most of the team. I don't know if the grass was high or not, but the passes seemed to take forever and were easy for the defenders to either intercept or be in good position by the time the ball got there. Also, the guys seems to have bricks on their feet, they never trap the ball well. The only guy that keeps the ball stuck to his feet is Nunez, everyone else is like a headless chicken out there just trying to outrun their defenders.

I am not happy with Suarez tactics, he seems to have forgotten about the middle of the pitch and the players just keep attacking down the wings. I am convinced that he is planning on making us a pure counter attacking team. I don't even want to see us play against Mexico or Costa Rica, we are going to be pinned down for most of the game.

On the bright side, the team somehow created 4 one on one chances with the goalie, but we somehow managed to screw those up too.

Alfredo Mejia, Ramoncito and Eddie Hernandez for Bengtson, Emil and Hendry should be the changes.

w.e we'll see if they can redeem themselves against mighty Grenada.

WE NEED A FU**IN STRIKER NOW!!!!!!!!!!

    Bengtson SUCKS A**!!!

This Midfield is so GOD DAM GARBAGE!!! ALL OF THEM.

NOT ONE OF THESE PLAYERS THAT PLAY MIDFIELD OR STRIKER SHOULD START COME WCQ.

    Edgar "El Mosky" Alvarez-------Wilson Palacios------Luis Ramos-------Ramoncito

    ----------------------Costly-------------------------Eddie Hernandez

at this point I'm ready to see ANYONE uptop not named PERY or BENGTSON.

Mario Martinez and Marvin Chavez to come off the bench for any of the wingers.

I like Bengtson catracho azul. He makes good runs and is a decent finisher. He is fast and tall. It is just that he doesn't get good service, until he gets good service you can't blame him for the lack of offense. I think that the partnership of Costly and Bengtson will be dangerous once they get a chance to bond together.

I like Edder Delgado and I liked what I saw from the short time Portillo was on the field, he looked quick and adventurous. Muma, Chavez and Garcia have looked solid on defense for the most part, Sabillon not so much. I have really liked what I have seen from Boniek Garcia, the ball has to go through him, I think he will be the future of our midfield.

I have been disappointed with Sabillon, he can't seem to put a decent cross and he always backs down when playing defense, and makes it easy for wingers to cross the ball. I don't like his spacing, he is always right on top of Boniek and brings his marker to help guard Boniek. He is fast and is good at overlapping the midfield, but he can't do anything with the ball even though he gets it in dangerous positions.

I am also not happy with Emil, he has been MIA this entire tournament, he never touches the ball and all of our attack keeps going through the right side, making us extremely predictable. Nunez has been pretty bad also, he tries to make things happen but his passes have been inaccurate and so has his shot.

I think we need to insert Nunez for Emil and try to pair Delgado(Palacios) with Portillo to see how it works out. The rest of the lineup is fine, it is the best we have available at the moment.

We need to find new players, we can't depend on the old guard of Suazo, Leon, and Alvarez. There will be some bad stretches, and bad selections, but hopefully we will find a couple of new national team players.

until Alvarez shows me his age has caught up with him.. he should be a player that is AUTOMATICALLY called-up.

Marvin Chavez, Andy Najar, and Mario Martinez will definately have their run after these disasterous performance from the left wing.

I been said that Portillo needed a call-up. He's one of those under the radar players that can win and push up and be effective with his crosses and runs and he HUSTLES!

and no.. I hate Bengtson dude seems to only show-up against the terrible teams.

Didn't Alvarez use to play RB? He can't be worst than Sabillon on defense, and would be a huge improvement on offense.

I don't think Alvarez would be too much of an improvement over B. Garcia. Garcia has been playing well, and is the only player out there that seems to create offensively.

Mario Martinez should had been called up, I forgot about him.

We will agree to disagree with Bengston, I like his finishing. He hasn't missed a sitter yet and he never gets a decent pass come his way. For instance, the second goal he scored against Granada, the pass from Emil was behind him, and he still adjusted and was able to score. I think he needs a little more aggressiveness, and he will be a decent forward for us.

That was embarrassing. We still have no heir to Amado, someone who can ask for the ball and create the transition from defense to offense without a pelotazo upfield or having to go through 1-2s on the wing.

Portillo should have seen more time on the field. The high pressuring should have been more prominent from much earlier in the game.

My biggest problem are the midfield overall and the right wing on defense. I trust Costly and Bengston to put their chances away, the problem has been that they don't get any chances whatsoever. That was mainly due to no retention of the ball until late in the game, when Jamaicans were tired. We could not hold it for more than 3 passes. Lack of patience in the build up has killed us. All our players are rushing the play too much, we need some calm and someone who can hold it and distribute it.

Disappointed so far with this team. Expected more.

Oddly enough we might be rewarded by that loss. Had we won, we might have had to play the US, now we have to play CR. Not that they are easy, but more accessible than the USA.

    this honduras team seems hopeless
i hate to say it but we are done in the gold cup
i hope we lose to costa rica so we wont be humiliated by mexico( btw mexico would destroy us right now)
what do you guys think of throwing najar in for the WCQ?
he would be a much better option than what we have as of now
this would be my starting 11 for WCQ

Valladares (sad he is our only option hopefully kevin hernandez can step up)
    izaguirre----muma----osman chavez----figueroa
    --------thomas----------palacios----------
    nunez--------------------------------najar
---(any forward but not bengston of pery)-------costly-----
