I'm at 29 right now. US-Turkey was supposed to be my 30th, but I had to leave Philly the night before the match for a medical emergency back home. So, US-Spain should be my 30th. I'm not sure about getting in any of the Gold Cup matches this year. There's an outside chance I could go to DC or LA if we make it that far.
I'm hoping to be at 8 by the end of the year. As of now, 2. Argentina in NJ June 2008 Cuba in RFK 2008
Only 4 caps US vs Mexico-2009 Mexico City Summer 2010- 3 WC (England, Slovenia, Algeria) Looking for my 5th in Pasadena!
Those are some pretty sweet caps though. How come you didn't go back to Rustenberg for the Ghana game?
Probably planned on leaving after the group stage regardless of whether we made the next round or not. I'm probably looking at the same scenario for Brazil '14. It ain't cheap.
I left on Thursday night and the game was on Saturday. If I was in S. Africa on Saturday I would of made the trek to rustenberg again. 3 weeks in Brazil for sure.
That site is cool. I wish it listed who had scored for the other teams too though. I see that Donovan and Bradley have scored the most for the games I've been to (4 apiece), with Beasley right behind them at 3, and Dempsey at 2.
Only at 4 right now but I'm 17 so not a bad start. 2 GC games at Gillette Friendlies vs. Netherlands and Spain at Gillette Also went to the 2 Brazil games vs. Mexico and Venezuela so you can say I got 2 caps for Brazil
My wife and I have the same number: 7 Jun 12 06 L 0-3 Czech Republic 52,000 Gelsenkirchen, Germany (WC’06) Jun 17 06 D 1-1 Italy 46,000 Kaiserslautern, Germany (WC’06) Jun 22 06 L 1-2 Ghana 41,000 Nuremberg, Germany (WC’06) Jun 03 09 L 1-3 Costa Rica 19,200 San Jose, Costa Rica (WCQ’10) We also went to friendlies versus Mexico in Dallas, Guatemala in Frisco, and Honduras in Foxboro. Don't have the energy to look the dates on those right now.
At 14 after the Jamaica match. Hoping that we hear about friendlies soon...there's word we're playing Belgium in Belgium but haven't heard confirmation on that.
http://www.soccer-yankee.com/usmnt_results/usmnt_results.html Somewhere in the 20s for the men, plus a few USWNT.
I've seen people mention their caps on here before, so I'm glad this thread got going to convince myself and others to pull out the ticket stubs and count. Some pretty impressive totals on here. I'm at 22 caps and I'm 24 years old. Looks like it definitely pays to be in the northeast, especially in Foxboro earlier in the decade (although that's changed since Revs attendances dropped into the dozens and nearby cities like Philly got into the act). Interesting that the US has played 12 games in South Africa since late 2007, that's more than most American cities, ever. 6/4/2011 Spain 4, USA 0 Foxboro, MA 8/10/2010 Brazil 2, USA 0 E.
