I would love to see some thoughts for the renovation of the silverdome. Lets keep them realistic and not moving pitches and spinning seats!! If you are good at drawing or computer work post a sample.
How will the structure support the open air pitch after a massive snow accumulation? Isn't that how the Vancouver roof collapsed?
That was Minnesota's roof that collapsed. The 'Dome had a couple incidents where the pressurization inside the stadium failed, causing the roof to collapse, but it didn't break. Inside pressure was reset to the proper level, and the roof was fine...mind you, those were not necessarily due to snow. The proposed structure should be fine with a major snow, which Michigan sees plenty of. With the spit lower level, the soccer field level should be able to hold with any reasonable snow accumulation that would be expected with a traditional Michigan winter.
