I am less mad as I am sad about the throwing of the shit on the field after a BS PK no call.

Ya that was pretty lame. We actually had some guys get up in a guys face that threw some cups in our section. It was policed pretty quickly by our own fans, however.

It was pretty classless, but hey it could have been worse.

my section was booing... that was embarassing... and the guy in the cow suit, he got boos as well, but he should've at least taken a shot at Kennedy before surrendering... either way, a lot of disappointment about things tonight...

Frankly I don't blame the Cauldron on this. When I looked around to see all the people throwing stuff it wasn't people I recognized in my 11 years sitting in the Cauldron. It wasn't the people wearing KC Wizards gear. It was the people who had no colors or affiliation on.

That leads me to believe these are the ones who didn't pay to get into this game. The ones who had got caught off guard and caught up in the moment of being in the section such as the cauldron. It seems like a no holds bar type of enviroment but in actuality it is an organized chaos. The ones who have no clue how close we were to not having the team. It was the ones who weren't around to know what it is like waiting 15 years to have a field of their own only to throw trash on it.

Bottom line for me right now is........

"If you pay nothing to get into the game, you have nothing to lose by getting kicked out of it."

The bottle throwing was bad. How many were thrown? 20? 30? My guess is that 95% came from the Members / Cauldron. I bet the policy is changed to not allow a plastic bottle to be served again in the Cauldron. Maybe alcohol will be cut off sooner too, since some can't handle themselves. No excuses.

    Look for these guys too.

On paper fans (members, we call them now) who have no sense of pride and history.

Everything with the stadium was awesome. The members need some serious work.

Tell me again how running down the field with the team on attack helps the game or the cause (either the fan or on the field).

It was bad when one or two came on the field... but then it was just a bandwagon. It was all of a sudden "okay" because a few idiots did it and then a bunch of other idiots decided it was worth their time too. :(

The rumor from the south end was that it was a Chicago Fire fan who ran onto the field in the cow suit. I don't think he was with Section 8, but just a part of a small group. And he was making fun of us as a cowtown. Also, it's why he ran onto the field during our attack.

I stood in the south end for the second half with a bunch of family who were in attendance. So, I'm just telling you what I heard. :)

Wow - I watched the game on ESPN - they were totally focused on replaying the call and evaluating whether or not a penalty should have been given - and on Bravo laying on the field and getting treatment. So I was not aware any behavior beyond booing and obscenities was happening. Kudos to ESPN to avoid reinforcing bad behavior.

Who gives a shit. He's not an actual player. Who does anything sane after a couple hundred beers? He just wanted to score the first goal in LSP.

Even though Zusi beat him to it.

The fans around me in Sec 102 were all pretty appalled at the bottle throwing. Many emphasized that we were on national TV. Thank goodness they didnt show it when I watched the replay.

Would like to suggest a statement from Cauldron leadership addressing this before we get decrees from on high.

Also the streamer throwing during the Fire corner kick was not cool. We can be passionate and classy. Let's try an influence the game through our chants and flags.

That's basically why last year (or the year before) when the team bought some streamers and we had an issue we told them to not give us any more. The streamers are a pointless waste.

spot on ... and by "paying," it goes beyond simply money. those of us who've invested time and emotion, and many who've invested more of each (though especially money) than even i have. you want to be in the bigtime, sporting club? well, get ready to welcome some of the asshole johnny-come-lately's that come along with bigtime interest.

For what it's worth, I watch the game on my DVR when I got home and there was zero attention paid to the trashing of the field. ESPN's attention was on Bravo and showing replays. IMO, we dodged a bullet. I really hope something like that doesn't happen again.

I was watching the activity and I felt ashamed of the response, and I believe the actions were by the "one timer" fan who hasn't invested anything in the team, and felt they could respond as they did. Overall, I was complimenting the fan behavior at the game before that incident.

Agreed. Everything seemed to just spiral out of control after Jimmy's stupid red card.
