200 000 000 yens ... That's ridiculous. Gamba selling their best player, someone the supporters are coming to watch, is ridiculous, but this price tag is even more ridiculous. Hope it's not true.

If you are referring to the numbers mentioned in the "tz" or in any other German paper, then don't worry. They are just google-translating Hochi/Yomiuri atm.

The price for Usami is 5-6m US$.

There are AT LEAST four offers, three of them from what we would call "Big Clubs" (=UCL participants). The fourth, OK, is Cesena--but there might be a bigger Italian club behind...

So I guess that Inui is next.

    Little bit offtopic:

I just read the most ridiculous rumor I've seen this summer.

    Sakai ----> Real Madrid

So Bayern is less likely now?
If there's competition from big clubs, 5-6m US$ is cheap...

Can you tell us which clubs besides Bayern and Cesena?

I believe the bigger Italian club goru were talking about is Inter Milan
And 5-6m $ is quite a high cost for a young Japanese player.

Anyone think he can actually get playing time? Mario Gomez and Thomas Muller are both world class players and German. Ribery when healthy may even be better...its a very crowded F/MF. Hope Usami doesnt end up like Morimoto, Bayern Munich isnt a club that messes around with prospects they are a big club that wants results, not projects.

I feel though if anyone can do it its Usami, hes got a massive ego and zaming self belief and confidence. Plus the support for Japanese players in Germany is as high as ever so he can lean on Hasebe, Kagawa, Makino, Uchida, Hosogai, etc. and not feel as if hes alone.

Bitter sweet deal if you ask me..

It is not very high if you think of today's value of Miyaichi, Kagawa, etc.

I am sorry, I can't say which Russian and English clubs, but if I know Usami a bit, the choice for him is between Cesena, where he will start for one season, and could then take the Nagatomo path to Inter; or Bayern, closer to most of the Japanese players in Europe (but much less chances to play).

If I was his Krishna, I'd tell him to go to Cesena, but just my opinion.

England means another working permit/visa application and with no cap it is probably unlikely he gets the special talent-visa.
Forgot that at Bayern he also would be in competition against David Alaba (currently on loan in Hoffenheim), Austria's left attacking midfielder-talent, who had a good game against Germany yesterday... so an injured Ribery doesn't necessary bring Usami onto the pitch, if Alaba returns.

Damn what a circus. I also agree Cesena would be best. He will probably play at least 20 games as a starter there? He should do the same thing as Nagatomo, but he needs to impress first.

So maybe if Cesena wants him that much, they should ask Bayern to loan him to them. We all would like Usami to play in matches to gain exp., if he's unlikely to play in a already powerful line-up, he should be loaned out to get experience he needed.
Just like Arsenal with Miyaichi, but w/out the permit issue, they loaned him to Feyenoord to gain exp playing in European football.
Cesena really, really, REALLY, seem to want him, so they'll probably knock on Bayern's door repeatedly.

If Bayern sign Usami only on loan, they normally wouldn't be able to re-loan him out.

If Gamba allows Usami to fully transfer to Bayern... why should they loan him out to Italy? They have plenty of experience with the likes of 1. FC Nuernberg (Ottl, Breno), Leverkusen (Kroos), Stuttgart (Lahm) etc. so that Usami would get used to Bundesliga-football... which would sound more rational to me.

Finally, I doubt that Cesena want to loan him because then they won't get a profit out of the deal like with Nagatomo... Still, a mid-table or relegation-battling Italian side sound like the better destination to me than some "top-clubs".

I think Usami needs to be very clear on one thing: do the COACHES at Bayern/Cesena want him? Considering that both clubs have switched coaches in the off-season, it's very important that Usami knows what to expect in terms of playing time and deployment.

    Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany

Before the Asian cup, he was attracting attention from all over, MAN U included. Dortmund basically had to chase them all away with a stick by asking for a 10-20 Million Euros (? not sure).
Now that Dortmund already lost a MF to Real Madrid, Sahin, They would really want to keep Kagawa at all cost. It still nice to hear big clubs still want him. Maybe in a couple of years. My concern is that do they really want him now. They seem to already have lot of quality AMF/FW players on their roster, Kagawa wouldn't be likely to be included in the squad.
Same as always, unless they, or any clubs, are in need of our players, which would in sure at least some playing time, experience, No move is necessary. He's great at Dortmund for now. He'll improved and make a big name for himself, then we'll see.
Btw, like Honda, his dream destination is Spain, specifically Barcelona, because he grew up in Miyagi Barcelona, a soccer school with ties to FSB, I think.

Kagawa played for Miyagi Barcelona not Honda.

If Kagawa continues to play well BVB then he will move to a bigger club.

He has stated that he wants to go to a big club in many interviews.

i dont know exactly about his situation but i read some comments from fans saying he might leave the club ... so maybe there is possibility to return to Japan, actually exactly this would be what we expected when his move to Germany was announced, no surprise at all

There aren't many clubs bigger than Dortmund, maybe a dozen or even less.

Also, imo, if there is a club that could challenge Barcelona in the near future, it is BVB.
