In my honest opinion, Nanni has been terrible so far this game.

Caceres put a dent on the horizontal... too bad for Cerro, but too little too late.

I think they will. Defensively Santos has looked suspect.

Now Edu Dracena gets red carded.

Both teams looked like shit in my opinion. Cerro in the 1st and Santos in the 2nd.

Looks like Velez can already crown themselves champs.

Tomorrow night should be a battle. The winner there will most likely take it all, this is the least solid Brazilian side to make the final in a long time.

So far, I like the story that Peñarol is writing this year.

honestly, one of the best games of the season. that is, if you don't value defense. but it was certainly quite exciting.

santos plays the final game at home. and i think that's a huge deal.

my hunch is that we'll see ganso playing in the 2nd leg, and that could prove to be the difference.

I can't help but to feel sorry for Cerro, it is always their best player that ********s up, the one that is the most Cerrista and loved by the fans.

my first copa libertadores game and it was an exciting one! not much defense but oh well. all the fireworks by the cerro fans was quite a sight.
anyways i think its pretty obvious why neymar is so highly sought after and why iturbe's name is coming up as well.
    2 questions, where was ganso?
and what was up with the random 1st half subs? neither of the players looked very injuredd..

The early goal by santos changed the whole game, cerro had to score 3 goals to go through, so it was all or nothing.

ganso has a pulled muscle. there's an extremely outside chance that he will return for the 2nd leg of the liberatdores final. i think we'll see him, to be honest. this is too big a deal for santos, and for the players.

as for the subs. well, when you're down 1 goal on aggregate, already, and you give up a goal in the 2nd minute, it's not good. by then, the cerro coach knew he needed to score 3 goals.

what does that mean? open up the game. benching iturbe was pretty questionable. it would've looked like a great move if cerro had kept the game close at the half. but they didnt, and in retrospect, maybe he shouldve started. but that's how it goes.

Santos played "the Paraguayan game" on Cerro, defend and kill on the counter due to Cerro going all out attacking.

They smartened up in the 2nd half but unfortunately for them it was a lil too late.

I hear both Cerro and Santos fans acted pretty shamefully after the game.

This is the second time that Santos fans create chaos in Asuncion, they robbed a couple of stores and hurt a bunch of people on their way out, at least this time the cops arrested a bunch of them.
