3 of us booked $200 tickets (fri-mon, sat-mon) on kayak this afternoon and when I looked there was at least 2 dozen left.

    Remember Monday is holiday.

This should be as good a chance as any to see United not lose on the road.

How are we getting match tickets for this game?

And the Galaxy game the following Friday?

    DU/team/other supporters group?

I need two for Portland and one for LA.

    Thx,

    Jay!

Those are some of the worst seats in the stadium. Gaaah.

I might try to get something close by online then just move over.

    Thx,

    Jay!

    So-Cal
Me and the old lady will be traveling up from So-Cal for the game.

Brother and his girlfriend, who live in Portland, scored 4 GA tickets. The 2 of them used to have season tickets with us when we all lived in MD but are slowly becoming Timber fans. Those bastards.

How many DCU fans are gonna be there? All in a specified section? Any partying going on that Friday/Saturday/Sunday-AM before the game?

Away section is 223, I would suggest not going into TA with away jersey (not sure if they have most GA or just majority :)) They just had some problems with few Crew fans getting lost in there last week :D

parties... I hear there's lotsa bars in pdx hehe

I believe we are standing in section 223.

the screaming eagles sold 30+ tickets, I am not sure how many the barra sold. But me thinks there could be as many as 60 United supporters in section 223.

There is an effort to organize in order to party Friday/Saturday and Sunday. If on twitter follow @mightysheetz for updates by the minute.

    Thx,

Gonna rent a car and drive.

I'm sure I can take a couple more passengers along, but I don't have any set plans and will most likely wind up missing the Champions League final at 11:45am that day.

    Thx,

    Jay!

Of course, climbing is by permit only and there's a cap in the summer of 100 per day. Totally sold out Saturday (of course) but Friday and Monday are still open if anyone is interested in doing that. I'm going to research a bit more and see just how far you can drive up. I'm not just going to go up to the visitor's center which is just off the highway. I'd like to go up as far as possible. Maybe go around the south side to the Windy Ridge area. I'll have more of an idea later tonight of the plans.

Posting this in several forums, so bear w/me....

With some help from folks, I made a list of places to hit up that are walkable from the hotel some of us are staying it. It's mostly beer related (& I know you'll hate that), but some parks, food places, etc.

Here's a link to a google map that shows a lot of cool places. Just figured I'd share some info. Use it if you wish. http://www.tinyurl.com/portland2k11

Also, the portland public transportation system is pretty awesome. This link helped me map out my ride from the airport to the hotel.

To say I'm excited for this trip would be an understatement. Catch you there tomorrow.
