Re: Other USA/Canada groups pics, videos, articles (no flames) Questions I'd like answered: 1. How long did that take? 2. How many people worked on it? 3. How will Portland respond? 4. Could the actual game on the field be better next time?
Re: Other USA/Canada groups pics, videos, articles (no flames) 5. Did their FO throw down some $ to bankroll it?
Re: Other USA/Canada groups pics, videos, articles (no flames) no, but I'm sure FO cooperated for ropes and stuff. They have 2000 members, it's not that hard. Money wise we're far better positioned in DC for things like that, just need to keep growing numbers for executions in stadium. But just as far as money even with 70 or so members all our tifo and tailgates are paid for easily (in fact we were doing pretty well even when selling just 10-15), imagine with 2000 we'd be doing stadium wide stuff. It's scary to think what Seattle and several others would be like if they had ticket deal like DC groups. Checker flags everywhere hehe group on other side of stadium and TA Montreal-Metros now if you're lookin for prime example of group taking FO money there's Barra Xango... erm Real
Re: Other USA/Canada groups pics, videos, articles (no flames) If Seattle has the same deal with their supporter groups as we do here, they could easily pay for that given how many tickets they are selling. It is nice to see other team's FO helping with the coordination of tifo like we have seen this season with Portland and Seattle. Our FO had a heart attack about throwing something down from the top for Moreno last October.
Re: Other USA/Canada groups pics, videos, articles (no flames) Maybe we could buy tickets for the Mezzanine seats above the Ultras section? and throw something from the Mezzanine level. Would aslo make for great call and response? section M26 thru M28 appears to be directly above the Ultras
Re: Other USA/Canada groups pics, videos, articles (no flames) we can buy them but we have to have people to sell them to
Re: Other USA/Canada groups pics, videos, articles (no flames) make the tickets be part of the tifo cost use them only to gain access to mezzanine in order to do a tifo drop just saying
Re: Other USA/Canada groups pics, videos, articles (no flames) hey bitches stop messing with other groups thread, open new one or use tifo email list I think we do pretty good for our size and can just move forward, it's not our job to take it to a 2000 member group just yet. They got bit more manpower and $$ for now heheh bit of Chicago PS i hate you both
Re: Other USA/Canada groups pics, videos, articles (no flames) Are you proof reading Seattle's tifo these days, Srdan?
Re: Other USA/Canada groups pics, videos, articles (no flames) Is there any chance that the travelling DC fans and the Timbers Army can each do a "BULE" banner? That would be classic. And one way to spend Saturday. Thx, Jay!
Re: Other USA/Canada groups pics, videos, articles (no flames) Well Bule is the Indonesian word for foreigner & sometimes its translated as white person. Everyone knows Seattle is the white person capital of the northwest.
Re: Other USA/Canada groups pics, videos, articles (no flames) So shouldn't the banner read: "We Live and Die by the Bule and Gaijin"?
Re: Other USA/Canada groups pics, videos, articles (no flames) i've never been to seattle but if there is a higher % of white people in seattle than portland, i'd be surprised i didn't see a lot of diversity in soccer city
Re: Other USA/Canada groups pics, videos, articles (no flames) I'm positive you're right but Portland's not big enough to be the capital of anything.
Re: Other USA/Canada groups pics, videos, articles (no flames) from what i could tell it is the capital of trying to be weird and ironic
Re: Other USA/Canada groups pics, videos, articles (no flames) did the Timbers Army have a display for the match against DCU? I don't recall seeing one on the broadcast. Am curious
