Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany Uchida makes another splendid individual defensive effort. Hopefully he can get a move away from Schalke for CL football again next year. Uchida milling around like he hopes to get somebody's jersey... maybe Pikachu's?
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany Utter embarrassment for Schalke. Uchida played pretty terrible too. Disappointing ending to Uchida's Champions league run.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany Haha he was clearly pissed off around the third goal of Manchester and competely surrendered in defense to go on an all out attack. Funny. Good performance, and damn he's really fast. I always thought Nagatomo was the fastest defender but after tonight I'm not so sure.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany Actually Uchida was good until the coach threw the match away by bringing on Edu for Baumjohann, and apparently ordering the fullbacks to stay back. (Whoever was in for Sarpei on the other side was getting murdered defensively in the first half, but he was getting forward a lot.) Sickening coaching against a Man U B-team that was clearly not motivated, and could have been ripe for the plucking with only two goals to make up. I would expect that Germans of all people wouldn't fold like a cheap tent in those circumstances. Edu might be the worst player ever to play in a CL semifinal.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany Thought Uchida had a good game. Hara... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqNnFaOO7XI"]YouTube - ??????????????????????U vs ????[/ame]
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany Empty out your saltshaker, but Goal.com gave Uchida the highest rating on Schalke with a 6.5. That's pretty generous, but I do think a case can be made for him and Jurado, and maybe Raul, as the best of a bad lot
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany I thought Jurado was the worst player along with the left back...scored a really nice goal but he lost the ball way too much when he didn't have to.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany I think Uchida play well, all mistake came from the center defender again... from the formation they play, the role of center defender are more important, one of them broken all defense will break down.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany Okazaki got his first edit: lovely goal [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYxsMF-HsZo&sns=em"]YouTube - ???????? ??????[/ame]
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany Finally Okazaki! No pressure on him, but I'm expecting 10+ goals next season.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany Dortmund to play Japanese abroad(and those related to Japan) on the 17th. http://hochi.yomiuri.co.jp/soccer/world/news/20110510-OHT1T00253.htm
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany yep, ill attend it is a nice gesture to kagawa from the club. he was the one initating it and our main sponsor evonik which actually wanted dortmund to go on a one week promotion tour in japan is the one organising and financing everything. hopefully kagawa gets some minutes. i ve missed him in our offense the whole year. man im still pissed at JNT for screwing up his foot . here is the press conference where it was anounced. (most of it in german but some parts are japanese as well) http://www.liga1.tv/sport/beitrag/fussball/video/bvb-benefizspiel-in-duisburg-14.html http://www.liga1.tv/sport/beitrag/fussball/video/bvb-benefizspiel-in-duisburg-24.html http://www.liga1.tv/sport/beitrag/fussball/video/bvb-benefizspiel-in-duisburg-34.html http://www.liga1.tv/sport/beitrag/fussball/video/bvb-benefizspiel-in-duisburg-44.html
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany How influential was Kagawa?? http://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/ed...gawa-stats-show-bundesliga-champions-borussia
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany Slighty skewed IMHO. Of course he was influential. But I'd say they lacked goals in the 2nd half of the season because Barrios and Sahin were injured for long stretches of the that 2nd half. But to say Kagawa was the most important reason is probably right. They missed his movement off that ball. He also seemed be the lynchpin for the front 4.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany Barrios was not injured that long (he missed just 1 game, but was not fit for 90 minutes for several others), and Sahin only got injured in the 30th round. But generally, you can never say that Kagawa would have produced X goals because he did that before etc. and as written we never know what would have happened if he was under the pressure, like the rest of the team. It's a speculative article anyway. However, good news: According to kicker he seems to be on the bench on Saturday!
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany Kagawa's probably not good to start yet. But for the last matchday, celebration of the title championship and mostly all of that at the home ground. I hope Klopp gives Kagawa some time at the end at least to celebrate the season. Just put him on for the final 10 minutes it'd be a great gesture and I reckon the Dortmund crowd would love it.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany If he'll be on the bench than there's only one reason for that - and we'll see him, I'm sure. Klopp's doing that from last week already.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany In the pre-match press conference Klopp said that Kagawa will be subbed in IF the match situation allows. It will be nothing more and nothing less than a symbolic gesture.
