PS3, Xbox 360, or the Wii. Even the Genesis if you're old enough to remember. I'm loving the looks of LA Noire, great to see that Rockstar isn't going through their usual extreme violence route. Also, there's nothing better than NBA Jam right now, have it on my iPhone and it's a great time waster.
Really don't play anything anymore(gave it up for reading), except Hattrick online, Mount and Blade(with certain mods), just waiting for the Old Republic or Diablo 3.
Usually it would be: COD:BO Marvel VS Capcom 3 Fifa 11 in that order, except for the fact that fecking computer nerds once again hacked into PS3 which made sony shut down psn for since 5 days ago, so.... no online. So now I'm playing MW2 special ops instead.
It used to be FIFA MWF2 NHL, but my connection isn't allowing online play so i've been restricted to the occasional odd game of fifa or nhl with some mates.
Mostly a PC gamer now, I used to love my console games but.. Football Manager, Pro Evo and an FPS game called A.V.A which I play competitively (insert nerd face) On my Xbox, which I'm rarely on now, FIFA, Black Ops(not a huge fan) and Halo Reach(as you can tell by my name I'm not a huge Halo fan though, if I had an idea for a name to change to I'd do it!)
My username comes from a video game series as well. Right now I just replayed the first three Metal Gear games. The first is brilliant and the best of the series, second is the worst because you play as Raiden, third is the 2nd best. Mostly because of that boss battle with The End. I also just bought the Prince of Persia pack for PS3, if you haven't played Sands of Time, you're missing out.
Is it really that good? Haven't looked into it though. Always wanted to play Uncharted. Still have to buy it though.
Sands of Time is that good, IMO anyway. The game requires some quick thinking and it's quite an experience to play.
I have GameFly so I usually just play a game for about 20 minutes before putting it back in the envelope and mailing it out.
lol I used to love that game. I was just telling someone about how you felt really important when you died. First game that made me appreciate a single life. The next time that happened was with Ghost Recon for Xbox which had fantastic graphics and a great sense of drama. I'm a huge fan of Battlefield Bad Company. For my money, the best shooters out there.
Well it depends on what you're looking for in a FPS, team work or individual dominance. Greatest FPS ever = COD:MW for its unmatched SP and awesome online. For all the stick that COD:BO gets (mianly cuz SP was boring), COD games still have the smoothest gameplay. You run, you shoot, you get points, your #1. BF:BC2 is epic for team work, although BC 1 was total shit. Cant wait for BC3, the first BF with a SP. <iframe width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-IlzODi2jvQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> other than that most FPS are shit, Crysis was soo bad, Killzone is repetitive, Homefront is a shorter copy of COD.
Cannot wait for the release of LA Noire. This year has been lackluster in regards to gaming titles and LA Noire looks exciting.
I actually LOVED Black Ops single player! My favourite out of the entire COD series. But WAW will always be my favourite overall. And definitely the hardest in the series to beat on Veteran!
For Metal Gear 2, I hated the ending, the whole running around naked while I kept getting called and being told to "turn off my console" from the Colonel, was weird and just killed the whole game for me. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, I agree with you, GREAT game.
Just got a hold of an XBOX Kinect, (after saying I'd never get it, as I see it as a tool of the government ) And I must say, I LOVE it. I've played Kinect Adventures which is fun and a good start up game, but does get boring fast. And just picked up Michael Jackson: The Experience, and have been dancing the night away! Never thought I'd like The Kinect at all, as I like to stick my my RPG, puzzle, and FPS CONTROLLER games, but I have to give it 2 thumbs up, and I'm excited to see what games come out in the future.
You didn't even like the "I need scissors! 61!" line? What ruined the game for me was going from Solid Snake to Raiden. I'm playing as a bad ass and then I get this guy? What's hilarious, is that the name la-li-lu-le-lo helped me with my Japanese. Just substitute the "l" with an "r", I used to whisper it to myself during tests.
<iframe width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/oJCDzdxiJEo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> brilliant
Respect your opinion and I can agree that MW is the best single player FSP, but I think BFBC's multiplayer for both 1 and 2 is unmatched. As you say, it requires teamwork - but also communication and planning. A lot more co-ordination is needed to beat good teams than any other shooter I've played. My biggest gripe about COD is the reward system. Games are so imbalanced and entirely individualistic but couched in a team format. You have a guy who gets to 5 kills and gets cautious, gets 7, gets the harriers, chopper gunner and then nuke. Rewarding someone who is already pwning is silly imo especially when the rewards don't require skill (relatively speaking) to use. In BFBC the rewards of being dominant are having teammates support you and gaining high ground or good cover and hemming in the enemy. But wait to long at a spot and someone will drop a mortar strike on your ass or collapse your building etc. Or you control a chopper, which you have to fly/shoot and which can get taken down before pwning the enemy if you're not skilled enough. It may be a silly gripe but I feel like there’s way more variety of attack and weapon selection in BFBC than in COD. The guns are balanced. There’s no superweapons and pretty much every class can do something. The feel in most games I get is one of a battle or of war. But w/ COD, it just feels like a game or a contest. I can get frustrated in BFBC when I’m unsuccessful at defending or taking an objective, but for the most part in COD my frustration comes from dieing a lot – which there’s no penalty for. Then there's the satisfaction of sniping someone from halfway across the map with a dipping bullet. I've had sniper duels where I'm shooting at someone who sees me and it is all about who gets the range first. There's actual skill and tactics to sniping as opposed to just lining up a shot.
i agree, but sometimes you wanna take the map with a team and sometimes you just wanna own the feck out of everyone else on TDM 2 different games, both good, although COD needs to up there franchise cuz i see BF taking it away
Yeah, I understand wanting to just murder. I think it takes considerably more skill to do it in COD than on BF because in any given game you'll get lots of people who actually care about the objective in BF so you can pick them off at will.
If anyone is interested in playing Hattrick online manager give me a shout. A player in our League just left(and left behind a team with some good talent), there are also some teams to build up from the bottom available(that was my preference). This is my 2nd season doing it, it is a lot of fun, very involved at first improving your team, setting up your training, academy(if you choose), hitting the market, developing strategies for game days, etc. But settles in so you dont have to be on every day.
I like the variety of game modes in COD's online play. Especially now that Black Ops has barebones versions as well. I'm disappointed they didn't bring back some classic maps like they did with the MW2 DLC. Anyway, the vast majority of my Xbox time goes on the latest COD and the latest FIFA. I don't often have time to devote to learning new games. I have spent ludicrous hours on the XBLA version of Peggle in the past though, and on Trials HD which is very addictive. The video game I play more than any other? Tilt To Live on my iphone. It's incredibly simple and incredibly brilliant.
