Serial cocaine user and lady killer August Busch could bring back the Athletica and AC and it wouldn't even make a dent in his wallet.

But I don't know if Busch even knows that pro soccer exists outside of Europe.

I'm not certain whether I want the current members of the Busch family involved in running another St. Louis sports franchise - look what they did to the Cardinals in the early '90's. On a topic somewhat related, is Tony Glavin still pursuing the possibility of developing a third or second division side for the Lions? I read about that somewhere but I don't check these boards out enough to know what came of it.

It's something I heard through the grapevine over a month ago so it's nothing official and they could've turned it around by now.

But NASL in St.Louis is as dead as can be!

Sure there could be a new ownership group step up and say they want to invest several million in a St. Louis NASL team. It's possible. But, if no one stepped up when they could have got an existing franchise with a little bit of infrastructure and fanbase then I would say its doubtful.

Again. I'm moving on to the Lions and hoping for the best. They've got an exciting new partnership and are building in the right direction. If things go well they may move up to Division 3 or 2 (whatever league that might be) in a few years.

I hope anyone else that is a soccer fan will join us for the Lions season.

    Here's an interesting article.

Jeff Cooper is in court trying to recover $3 million from Ryan Woods.

Woods has conceded the claim and now they are reviewing his assets to repay the $3 million he was supposed to pay Cooper to purchase AC St. Louis.

Seems Woods never had the money to run the team either.

If i had over 50 million dollars i would bring a team to St. Louis along with a stadium. Here's hoping some one steps up.

Not even close. Cooper had much more than that. MLS is looking for people with B's in their bank accounts not M's.
