That's very cool...like the detail in it! Although you'll probably have to spend time explaining to people the meaning behind "Remember the Maine/To Hell With Spain" when you're selling them (I know what it refers to, but many others may not).

AO Hartford will be producing a Scarf for AO Connecticut. It will be available on our bus to Gillette, and briefly at the tailgate.

I will be posting a design here sometime tonight, so I can get some feedback from the masses.
so, please come on back to this thread tonight and give feedback

I will seriously be open to all kinds of Imput since I am new to this and have had the free trial of photoshop for all of 1 day, so my suckitude is massive!!!

However the real reason I am posting 8 hours before I should is because I have a general scarf question...

how do you guys feel about blue scarfs? I know we wear red, and yada yada yada, but it seems as though a Scarf can be different. would a blue scarf not sell, because it might stand out in the supporters section?

we will never build a scarf wall like Liverpool used to, so uniformity is not as asthetically important, but I was wondering the general consensus on this.
currently, my scarf is red on one side, Blue on the other.

    thoughts?

The color isn't as important as the content. If you can develop a scarf with Red, White, and Blue on it and the design is kickass, then people will get it.

It's not going to be a commerative game day scarf, its an AO Connecticut Chapter Scarf. To show local pride, but also, so that 3 years from now when Bridgeport, New Haven Springfield MA and UCONN-Storrs have their own chapters, (rather than being part of Hartford) we can look back at the early years with fondness.

What I really want is a HARTFORD scarf, but I can wait till just before Brazil for that.

Red, White, Blue, CHECK CHECK CHECK..... Kickass..... I guess I will have to leave that one up to you guys when I post it tonight :)

It needs to say your city or state Outlaws, not just Outlaws. My 2 cents.

    it may be too subtle...
the Crest is the Connecticut state crest.

the pattern in the blue is the word CONNECTICUT repeated over and over

and, the vertical red and white lettering on either side is, in order

    Hartford
    New Haven
    Bridgeport
    Uconn-Storrs

so, it is very much CT to me, but I get your point.
I also need to tweak the colors to be deeper and match the flag better.

    any other thoughts?

    lol
honesty is key, because, well I got no clue what I am doing.

please help point out the suck-a-tude, and then any positives.

Looking at others in this thread I just learnt something important... Red lettering =bad on a blue background.

I switched to white and thats a huge improvement, so there's a start. brutal honesty appreciated

why not put the name of the country we support on it? seems like you support a team called the Outlaws.

You need more colonial Conn involvement on the scarf....
