While I appreciate Educational Outfitters stepping up last year when Premier Soccer went under, I really hope to see an improvement in the online store this season. When compared to most other NASL/USL teams, the RailHawks definitely have room for improvement. Now maybe they don't generate enough in web sales to warrant a "slick" online store, but what's there now certainly runs counter to the new marketing angle that we've been hearing about. Has anybody heard if there are changes coming on this front? It would be nice to be able to buy a current season's jersey before June.
I dunno, if it's still the light blue BCBS shield logo on the front, I probably won't get one. It just looks awkward to me so I didn't get one last year. I do agree that it would be nice to at least have the option though. But would it be too much to ask for a new t-shirt? I'm still wearing my inaugural season shirt to most of the games. And I bought the holiday pack this year only because a new shirt came with it. I'd actually rather have a nice polo shirt but I can understand that t-shirts would sell easier.
Merchandise and the online store will be much improved this year. I think all of the RailHawks Nation will be more satisfied with not only the online store, but on-site sales as well. You can check the facebook page (facebook.com/CarolinaRailHawks) and you will notice there were some post about having a retail store at the soccer park to sale merchandise, on game days and throughout the week. Everything is still in the process of being finalized so there is not much more information at this time, but continue the talk. Let us know what you would like to see and purchase.
Yea, the merchanside last year sucked. It was the first since 2006 that I didn't buy any RailHawks merchandise.
Yeah...it was bit strange to see them selling the blue jerseys next to concessions. All proper football teams are built on tradition....including the darn colors. Get that straight marketing boys.
Any of these shirts get you guys excited? http://soccer-gear.worldsoccershop.com/search?w=railhawks I'm not personally wild about any of them...still like the new TSF shirts better But that said, it's nice to see some RailHawks gear in a proper online shop.
2010 NASL contenders! I'll probably get the one that just says RailHawks with the logo. Wish they had some orange ones though.
I don't know. Never thought about it. Isn't there some kind of feud between the state of NC and Amazon right now over sales tax collection? I'm not sure Amazon is taking new NC-based marketplace vendors. I should look into this though.
Do you guys have a Railhawks scarf, and, if so, how can we order it up here in Maryland?... http://kennysfootballscarves.yolasite.com
http://www.soccer.com/Navigation.process?Ne=645&Srp=24&N=4294960638+4294956411 Just noticed our jerseys are for sale on Eurosport now... when did that happen?
Eurosport runs the back end and fulfills the orders of most online soccer webstores in the United States that I'm aware of.
bumpity bump bump I know there was a hurricane last week but did anybody notice our merchandise tents? Anything new? Did they have jerseys for sale yet? I didn't think I'd like the jerseys this year but they looked pretty good on the field. If only they'd come with the NASL patch on the sleeve...
They had the new jersey with NASL patch. They also had scarves which was a small miracle since we never have scarves till July.
$16. Same design as the old ones, despite some fears that it would be different and thus impossible to get the old kind again.
I wouldn't mind getting one of those nice pennants (one of the real futbol pennants, not the horizontal US pennants) like they had last year. I tried to get one at the RIP auction, but I didn't bid high enough. I just can't see dropping $30-40 for one. Pennants in Europe aren't that expensive.
