It's like slowly but surely coming down with a mild case of plague. Great highlights though! Dunk porn ftw.
Don't get me wrong, this is a great gesture and all, but what freaking 10 year old has nearly $10k stashed away!! http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/news/story?id=6290024
Nice thought by the kid, but not sure a kid giving away thousands of his college money to buy back a ring for a football player who squandered all his money is going to end up well.
Ben, what's your opinion of Afflao? I've been having a couple of debates with some friends who think we should have kept him but the way I see it, he won't be remarkable.
His contract is really nice for what you get. I think he is a solid two way player for under 2 mil a year. If he was on 4 or 5 mil a year no, but he's a good cheap defender that can score well enough that its not a 4 on 5 situation on offense. He has done well (relatively) guarding Kobe in the past which is big for us.
Yeah, same thought here. One of my friends is convinced that he should have been kept (This was after he scored 20+ points) but I don't see anything that made me think he was worth keeping. I see him being somewhat like Raja Bell in a sense, decent scorer and good at defense but not someone who can elevate your team to the next level.
He's a role player that is probably more valuable to the Nuggets than he would be for the Pistons. He was even more valuable before the Melo trade as he was one of our better defenders. Him and JR Smith are a good mix at the 2 spot, and I think both are free agents this summer (not sure with the new CBA and all). I imagine Chicago will make a run at one or both of them.
Yeah, they have been far more entertaining. Isolation sets are not all that exciting. I thought the Knicks would struggle, but I didn't expect the Nuggets to get better. Lots of depth on that team.
Y'all watch some terrible sports. Basketball would struggle to be any more boring over unnecessarily complex.
I used to not like Basketball a lot but after coaching some of my students this year I have gotten much more interested.
NHl playoffs are about to start. Who does everyone have going to the finals? Personally, I see a Sharks vs Bruins final.
Same here. I came from another country when i was 14 so I never had any childhood experience with baseball. I really never paid attention to anything baseball until quite recently, about a year or two ago. Right now, at least i can watch a really good game here and there but still, I don't have any passion or desire to watch or follow baseball. My baseball experience thorough out the whole baseball season consists of 1 to 3 games watched live, usually late playoff time in october and and whole lot of ESPN sports center. I watch at least twice a week so baseball is not something i can avoid, even if i wanted to on the other hand, one game I actually enjoy now when I watch is Golf. for some reason, the only sport i thought was the most boring turns out to be quite interesting. I am really finding myself enjoying watching golf lately.
Hated watching golf until I learned how to do it. Now I enjoy watching, but don't really dedicate too much time to it.
Luongo is awful in the playoffs though, and they also might be facing the Blackhawks again in the first round. I will say they have a better shot against them this time around, but they have to be mentally tough to overcome that complex they have developed the last two years. I honestly don't know if they have it in them. There also is a lot of pressure on them to do well. As for the Sharks, all the pressure of years past might still be there, but not nearly as much. They sort of quietly sneaked into second position considering they were dilly dallying around 6-10 place for the most part of the season. They don't have huge expectations this time around and it will benefit them.
hated everything golf related, then went down the range with a freind, and eventually likened towards the game itself. Im not that good, but as my freind says, no ones really good at golf, if they are than they would be a pro . Don't really watch it though, its kinda like baseball, love to play it, but cant watch it.
I love playoff hockey. Bruins win in double OT against the Habs, after losing games 1 and 2 at home, they come back to take the next 3, gritty. Tim Thomas is on a different level this season A game old but again to Montreal: Edit; The save of the game, however, was not from Thomas, or Carey Price; [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fI2CqKzoB8"]YouTube - Michael Ryder glove save in 2011 Playoffs[/ame]
See Yasik. Once Luongo starts bleeding, he just keeps hemorrhaging. Recent history isn't on his side so I would be scared right now if I were a Canucks fan. We'll see tonight whether he shows some form of coagulation or if the Blackhawks rip open the wound even further.
Refs a complete joke in this Bos-Mia game. Miami was probably going to win regardless, but making some crucial and terrible calls.
Yeah, awful calls all around. EDIT: It was Josh Smith, not Joe Johnson Josh Smith was bugging me tonight, there's a reason you're being left open. It doesn't mean you should take a shot.
