I will almost never complain about the reffereeing in any game, but damn, that was not a penalty . Corona was so close to stopping it though, ah but the better team won today.
I really really hope this loss helps to get the team in gear. The goal should be to overtake Pumas. Hopefully nobody is resting on their laurels just happy to get into the Liguilla. The game against Morelia should be telling - direct group foe at home with second place on the line. Don't screw it up Cruz Azul. Even a draw would be a massive fail.
Does this ever help? Man I love this team to death but something needs to happen cuz I can't stand losing so much, especially if they have the win and just let it go. Either change Director Tecnicos or get some better players. Ya basta!
If you look at how they lose these games it all comes down to mental lapses. The PK we got called against us versus Pumas in the last Liguilla was just ridiculous. This last PK against Monterrey was very iffy. I don't think they've been playing particularly poorly but they run into periods of bad form way too often at crucial moments. To your point, I do wish they had a strong Tecnico (I'm not a Meza fan) and we've been hoping for a solid central defender for quite a while now so there's definitely areas of improvement. There's still time to right the ship but they have to start delivering. This next game against Morelia is crucial. If they lose or draw, they will have a hard time catching Pumas and even catching Morelia would be tough so we would be looking at a 3rd place finish. Not good.
Morelia has always been a struggle especially Pumas. I know that Sabah has a vendetta against us and loves to score on us whenever they visit us or visa versa. Does anyone know why he hates us so much?
Don't remember the exact details but I think it stems from a game against America and there was a big fight where afterward he felt the team didn't have his back. I'll go see if I can find more details on this.
Yeah, it comes from a Cruz Azul vs America game where afterwards he was asked a question, and answer with something like "....les tuvimos miedo". The media had their field day with that for the rest of the season. The fact that he sucked that season resulted in him being kicked to the curb like the dog he is at the end. That's way he's pissed at us -------- Didn't get to see the game vs Morelia, but from the result I'm glad i didn't. LOL its funny how Morelia gets our hand me down players....LOL I never really like Huiqui nor Sabah. Is it just me or does Drougett not seem 100 % from the injury he picked up. It's like he's not even playing and disappears when he's on the field? Hopefully we get it together for tomorrow's match against Monterrey. We beat them in the Champions League so we can beat them. True true, Droguett looked pretty damn impressive in the first few games he played. He was hustling, making plays, recovering the balls now he looks lazy. He obviously lost rhythm but he should be playing better by now. It seems like we've been playing the same damn teams over n over because of how CCL and the liga lined up. Vs santos like 3 times in two weeks, now mty 3 times in two weeks again.
