    Yes.

No. My only concern is what a given poster is doing in one of the forums that I moderate. I don't give two rips what they write anywhere else.

So I presume that you PMed or e-mailed TTM because no report for that post is showing up in the Reported Posts forum.

Sounds like you're the one doing the stalking.
I thought that's what supermods are supposed to do, since local mods can't be there 24/7. There was an incident of racism in the Korea forum, and a supermod had to step in and do something since the local mod wasn't there at the time. Standard procedure.

I hope the mods give equal treatment to all users here. There should be no exceptions, even if a user has people complain for him. Other users I've seen get redded for racism are still red. There was no leniency on them. The rules should be equal across the board.

I'm fine with removing the word.

You are making the same point I was making when I resisted adding the word squa w - but just because you don't see the practical side of not allowing some of these words doesn't mean they don't exist.

Nope. Someone else linked it to a thread in BSMX. I found it to be offensive and reported it.

Eljefe... You need to look harder.

Didn't you realize that he was only trying to sucker you into absurdity by adding sq@w to the list?

********** Valley USA, home of the 1960 Winter Olympics ... not even the link works.

Meanwhile kike is way more offensive than hymie. But Kike is also a nickname amongst Spanish soccer players.

It was a regular user, IIRC.

I don't really understand this attitude that if someone who doesn't post in FFA finds out about something there then they must be stalking the user. The megathreads have always had tons of lurkers, from all over BS. It's hardly a private forum.

Wasn't Estevo that "regular user" who was following Mike's posts on 606?

So, do you lurk on 606 too? :D

I had no idea the 606 had become such a wildly popular sitcom.

Have you really thought this one through? Basically Mike should be free to call Mexicans **************** without the interference of some pesky mods - is that it? Are Mexican posters not welcome in the 606 or is that just a coincidence? Or maybe they are just cool with being called ****************.

Mexican posters are free to post on 606, if they feel they want to add anything to it. Mexican mods can too, should they be able to summon enough thoughts to do so.

Someone else found the slur and posted the link on BSMX because they were offended. Estevo saw it there and reported it.

Naw, I get my quota of soap opera drama from my girlfriend. ;)

Damn Cris, everyone knows that the denomination "606" was the common year starting on the Julian calendar which has been used since the early medieval period when the Anno Domini calendar became the prevalent method in Europe for naming years.

Where the Hell have you been???:rolleyes::cool:

Como? You're going to have to explain this because either I'm missing something or one of us doesn't know what that reference is about. And since your literary reference isn't computing for me, I have no idea whether what you said had anything to do with the point I was making to you.

Right - except when it's your sensibilities that are being offended.

There is actually is a decent point to be made here amongst all this stalker talk - these FFA threads are not meant to be policed by mods and mods and supermods should view them similarly to NSR forums where things are a little more lax - and regulars of the thread are just like regulars of a forum - the home team.

But folks who post slurs - especially repeat offenders - do so at their own risk.

I do it on my spare time, between my gardener gig and my part time as a dishwasher..

You guys are absolutely right. I apologize to those of you in here defending the honorable Mr. Warmth. It is my fault he finds himself in this predicament.. I should never have read that post to begin with.

I did look. I even did a search. Mr. Warmth's post is not there, nor is any sort of reporting by you.

Perhaps you can be a dear and point me to what I might have overlooked.

Society has for the most part has, but I carry on with life.

Political correctness is generally double standard. You can't talk about my *insert group here* and I demand rights, but I will bash other groups as I see fit.

Whoa there... I think you need to work on your "search" skills.. I saw it just last night.

So let me get this right.. You are ok with the term, so long as I don't see it?

Then you'll have no problems providing a link for those of us who allegedly are lacking in search skills.

I'm not OK with it. And if I thought that you or TallTowerMan were just as vigilant about racist slurs from posters not named "Mr. Warmth" as you are from him, I'd applaud it. But the fact of the matter is that your vigilance and TallTowerMan's vigilance against racist slurs is very selective as this thread's existence and TallTowerMan's contribution in it shows.

In other words, ain't nobody getting a 1000 point infraction for dropping the words "squaw" or "hebe" or "wop" around here, especially not from TallTowerMan. And if someone wants to insinuate that Jews bake their bread with the bones of gentile children or that Muslims are a bombing waiting to happen, nothing will happen. But if someone writes "wetback," they should watch their ass.
