We'll have something more detailed on this in the next few weeks. It just became official and formal details are still emerging on parking, tailgates, tickets, tifo, etc.

4 years ago their tune up game was against China. This year its against Spain.

A bit of a step up I'd say.

Spain might be out for blood after we ruined their unbeaten/winning streaks. Can't wait to go.

I know it is very early for this, but what is your opinion on the team that Spain will field? Will their A team be on vacation so they'll bring their B team?
I hope to see some big names.

You shouldn't have a problem. Just don't act like an asshole at the game or anywhere on their property. If you mind your business and don't cause trouble you should be fine. Did you ever get a letter from them about a ban from the grounds?

Should note that Red Bull New York is the only Northeastern team to have a home game on June 4th. DC, Revs, and Philly all have away games that day.

I doubt every ticket taker is going to have a picture of you. Wear a hat or something, you'll be fine.

I was banned from the stadium one year because I went to a Revs game with a group of idiots and got lumped in with them. They cancelled and refunded my season tickets but I still went to every game the rest of the year.
Just don't purchase tickets under your name and you will be ok. Also, don't get too drunk and get kicked out again, because then you will be trespassing.

Sweet! The last sporting event I went to at Foxboro was the '99 Women's World Cup game between the U.S. and (North? South?) Korea, when I was living in Boston. It was the last game of the group stage and we had already qualified for the knockout stage. As I recall, it was the only non-sellout for the U.S. the entire tournament, and 100 degrees in the shade. And practically every Korean player had the same haircut.

Anyway, looking forward for the road trip up from NYC and tailgating with y'all. Perhaps I'll have to visit my Native American friends in Ledyard/Uncasville on the way home ...

Will Sams Army and AO sell tickets to the same supporters section? Want to remain loyal but meet a new group as well.

I can't speak for Sam's Army but I know American Outlaws will be selling tickets in the supporters section for this game.

Will it be GA in the same area and operated just like Revs games, or will the supporter's section be converted to assigned seating for this match?
Also, when will AO Boston be putting info out regarding bus(es) from Boston? I'm hoping it will be more convenient to just drive to Boston and take the "awesome" bus than to painfully deal with the traffic and parking by myself!

Regardless of the details, I can't wait for this. AO (Boston/Providence/NH/RI/Hartford) has been incredible in past matches and I know this will be no different!

Like Garrett said, nothing is final yet, but I doubt this will be GA.

And there will definitely be an awesome bus (buses if needed) from Boston. Still working on the details. Sign up for the mailing list on our site if you haven't already. We'll definitely be emailing people as we get details.

I'm almost positive that the supporters section will be GA. It always is, just because the opponent is Spain makes no difference. It was GA against Argentina last week, and it was GA vs Haiti in Foxboro in '09.

Regardless, I plan on bringing a few people to stay with my cousin in Boston. Definitely doing the AO-Boston meetup the night before, and raging REAL hard the day of the match! So excited!!

The reason I don't think it will be is because they made the Revs-ManU match assigned seats, so I would expect this to be the same.

USSF is running the show for the Spain game, not the Revs. And whether it be Columbus, Chicago, Meadowlands, Philly or Hartford; I've always seen GA for AO.

There definitely have been non GA supporter's sections. I feel this is going to be one of this instances.

It's still Gillette Stadium's call and the stadium, in particular security, usually rolls how they want to. It's the reason you can have flags at RFK and Columbus and not at Lincoln Financial and New Meadowlands.

Methinks this will be an assigned seating game but even those sections usually turn out to be GA anyway. Anybody remember Chicago or Philly? Those games ended up being GA if I recall outside of a few people whining.

I expect some of things we do at Revs games will be allowed and others won't because of the size of the crowd. It's silly, fun, and frustrating to guess what the stadium will approve right now but it is.

Gillette Stadium security is, in my opinion, generally stricter than at other stadiums.

    To Boston AOers:

Is it possible to buy my tickets through the AO site and then pay for the AO Boston bus separately? I know that sometimes the bus and game tickets are bundled, so I thought it was worth asking.
