Exactly. Cagliari has generally a weak defense and possibly the worst goalie in serie a and our offense just could not break the ice. Our shots were to far to really trouble the goalie unless there's avrebound. I hope reja tries another formation as it was quiet sad watching our attack.

Unfortunate for Dias but lazio fans can't genuinely get mad at him. He has done an A+ job this season and has saved lazio this season with Giuseppe Biava.

i don't know where you got that impression but it's wrong. we're 5th in serie a for less goals conceded. better than us only you, Milan, Napoli and Genoa.

Canini-Astori is a good central duo (the promising Ariaudo being the first sub). It's not by mistake that Astori is getting callups for the NT, believe me.

The match was even, it took an episode to decide it. You were the better side overall in the first half (but very few chances for both the teams), in the second half we managed to control the match without suffering.

p.s. Agazzi is not the worst goalie. he's got a very odd style sometimes and still needs to refine his qualities but he can be effective.

I'm honestly puzzled how Cagliari hasn't conceded way more. I have watched quite a few games of Cagliari and to be quite honest there wasn't a game where I didnt laugh at your backline. Canini and ariundo were killed, but albeit I probably saw the games where they faced high profile teams which Cagliari has suffered bad against them all season. As for your goalie, I'm sorry you cannot convince me there. I've seen shots go Inches beside him and fan his hand on it and go in. Again I'm probably being a tough critic here since I only watched Cagliari against big teams were they looked really poor.

Well, a fairly solid 2-0 win today against struggling Palermo. The first half was a strong performance overall and Sculli obviously had a great first half with the brace. It was refreshing to see the offense getting behind the opponents defense. Ledesma had a great game, could have had a third assist in the second half if Stendardo or Bresciano finished.

The second half was a bit disappointing. I hope the team was saving their energy and that they did not just run out of ideas offensively. We'll have a bit of an advantage over Roma next week since they'll have a CL match midweek.

Great win for lazio. Ledesma sculli provided lazio with more than enough today. Lazio pretty much neutralized the rest of the game. Great to see muslera back and was sharp in goal today. Defense did well but I wish we had Dias for the derby.

    Re: 2010-2011 Serie A campaign (R)

Wow. A performance just overflowing with stupidity. Dumb decisions on the field, and dumb decisions off.

Totti's FK, just felt bad as soon as the foul occurred. Muslera probably saves that on a dry day, or any other day. The laser in his face was just icing on the cake.

The red cards, wow, Radu, Ledesma lost their heads. Matuzalem earned a red as well. In the end it would not have been a derby without a Roma penalty kick, and I can't really argue against it.

Reja.......Reja......what the ******** are you doing. A big part of the gameplan seemed to be focused on abusing Riise, but it was apparent from the beginning that it was not working.

Putting Zarate in the midfield once again, wow, yes he can play there. But does he play it well? No. Especially when he is given as few chances on the ball as he was given today. Reja really needs to just stop playing him if its not going to be at forward.

Hernanes off, why? A quiet game but he was still the one managing the midfield in the final third. Really lost that organization when he came off.

Almost predictably midfield got worse once Hernanes came off, and Brocchi was needed to fix that mistake. Bad decision lead to a wasted substitution.

Lazio's offensive woes were destined to continue before the game even started, and Reja kept compounding the problem with his substitutions. The red card really destroyed any chance of coming back, but I don't think there was any chance at all of a come back with the players that were on the field at that point.

    A shit ********ing derby today.

learn some Italian and then try to correct me. My saying that you quoted me on is a fact and not an opinion. Prima means first whereas you probably think it means Prime. Just don't look at this thread and please get the f**k out.

Mr Hobbles you are right everywhere.

Radu out 3 weeks Ledesma 2 and Matuzalem 1.

This is all worth it in my opinion. My hatred for Riom is far greater than any of our players getting red cards. I loved how Sculli body checked Totti and Ledesma threw him back up. Threw him aorund like the piece of sh!t he is

rough match for sure, I'm not happy about all of time some of our key guys will miss going forward.

I think this will be the turning pt in costing us the 4th place but in reality to me Lotito is never going to spend to make the team good/deep enough for the CL so the europa league or whatever its called is more approrpriate at least for the next couple of years.

I think Foggia had been hurt at some point, but Reja just doesn't seem to fancy him. Alvaro Gonzalez has been preferred over Foggia for a while now.

Unfortunately I can't view the match tomorrow, but I am desperately hoping for an offensive turnaround.

Wow what am I thinking, I completely missed the game today!

Looks like Zarate played as forward and scored. Not much else I can say only seeing the highlights. Napoli is going to be tough without Ledesma, Matuzalem, and Radu. It was good to see that Ceccarelli made the bench today. Will the primavera bear fruit by the end of the season?:)

Lazio gets absolutely ripped off !!!! What bull sh!t. Lazio outplay them and the refs ******** Lazio over.

The ref must have got a nice bonus from Napoli this game. Player of the game goes to the Referee of Napoli for putting this game on a T for Napoli. Scumbags

Lets see De Laurentis complain about the refs now. If De Laurentis had half the shit that went against Lazio he would be crying a river to the media with his c0ck suckers playing the violin behind him

Lotito ripping Napoli apart in the media which is more than necessary. Also, lazio fans have come together to write a letter to figc about the injustice they have been treated with this year and how under-appreciated ss lazio 1900 is on and off the field. We are not scumbags like Napoli or a.s. riom. Justice must be served.

Sheesh. Completely outplayed by a 10 man Inter.

Hernanes had a complete stinker today. Mauri disappeared from the game after Julio Cesar's ejection, then gets himself ejected. Mauri should lose the captain's armband after screwing the team like that.

What a bullsh!t game. There were sprinklers that went off on that half Biava slipped on before the game. Looks like that ended up as Inter's extra man. Bullsh!t bullsh!t bullsh!t. Thats the only way we seem to lose this season in all honesty.

Once again we dominate and lose. I hope these lost points don't add up at the end.

How devastating. This was our most pathetic performance next to the Siena game we lost to in the first half of the season. We played for 20 minutes and were unfortunate not to tie. Hit the post and skimmed the post 3 times along with a missed penalty shot. Europa league it is

Well here it is. The End of 2010-2011 season.

Tied for 4th place. Tied on aggregate with Udinese. And finally lost to them in goal difference. This means we are going to Europa League and less money in Lazio's pocket. Lotito has already said that the plans in the market have changed since we did not make Champions League. We will be signing less important players and will see another average mercato.

Can't say im disappointed in Lazio this season but that was a very bitter ending for us. We were in the top 4 for about 30 of the weeks where Udinese must have been in top 4 for 2 or 3 weeks and one of those happen to be the final week. I hope them well in Champions League but the wrong team has grabbed that 4th spot.

Good season, dispointing finish however. If you would've told me Lazio would finish in 5th losing out on the CL by goal difference I certainly would've taken it + finishing ahead of Roma. The toughest part of it all was all the games that slipped away late on (the Inter match man up and a goal up early on only to lose, man up vs Udinese for most of the 2nd half, losing late against Juve twice, the comeback loss @Napoli) even 1 point from any of these matches gets us in the CL, and better results/luck in these matches might have us battling for 2nd place.

Hernanes truly was the missing link for this team, his presence allowed Mauri to play more of a secondary role in creating offense and much of Lazio's success hinged on Mauri. His decline and subsequent injury late in the season had a strong correlation with the losses in April and May. The improvement of the midfield was massive compared to last season. Ledesma, Hernanes and Mauri were able to hold possession and we saw several players emerge that can replace some players that look to be leaving. Garrido impressed late on as did Gonzalez and Kozak in limited action.

Lazio will need more help in midfield though this problem isn't as glaring as it was last summer. The defense is ageing and a CB, along with a LB will be major targets for next season.

This team as come a long way since the Ballardini debacle, and perhaps next season we will get into the top 4.

    Bravo Lazio! Non mollare mai!

You thought Garrido did well? I thought and the Lazio media thinks he was a big flop. Rumors are saying he's going back to his dump in Real Sociedad or some name like that in Spain. He already abounded them when they were relegated and now that they are back the team wants him back. Talk about that team having no dignity.
