When CJ Sapong first got to town, a few of us on twitter welcomed him to town w/ an impromptu lunch at Jack Stack.

He came up with the idea of a BBQ Tour where he could try all the big spots around town with some fans. We only will do these once a month or so but one of these #FlashMobbqs is going down tonight, Wednesday 03/16.

Gates 7pm 3125 Main St. - Both CJ and Mike Jones will be there at least. Any fan is welcome. If you didn't get a chance to meet these 2 on Monday, you definitely should, great guys.

I will just bump this thread to post whenever the next one is happening. See you there tonight!

Yeesh you and the Tech 9 .... always makes me think of a certain Initrode employee slyly locking a door while commuting upon seeing a black guy.

    Not making this again.

What? I'm confused. Are you equating him posting a Tech N9ne song to locking your doors when you see a black guy?

I think it's more "I grew up in Blue Springs and only the middle class white kids listened to Tech N9ne" type thing.

I know it's an Office Space reference. I have no idea why he was making it though.

When at Jack Stack, you gotta go with the Prime Rib Ribs, simply amazing. Best BBQ item in the city imo (I dont htink Jack Stack is the best though) just look at that meat
    [IMG]

OK Joes- I like to get some sort of sandwich and their fries are amazing

    Gates- Blunt Ends and brisket

Bryants - Combo plate, pork ribs and burnt ends

I'm not a huge fan of Bryants sauce. Maybe its just me, but I find it a bit too salty. Great burnt ends nonetheless.

Okie Joes' fries are amazing. They give you a ridiculous amount too. I always try to split them with someone. Both to save money and to save my stomach.

that's 'cause they sprinkle in some crack in their seasoning.

it's vinegar-based, whereas almost all the others are ketchup-based.

Mhmm, I remember that from looking at the bottle. I dunno, maybe I just need to give it another shot because I wasn't feeling too hot that day (it was on a high school field trip for a class my senior year, no less. God I loved that class).

Why else does the two locations pack at lunchtime? Addicts coming for their fix.

No way. The best BBQ, and while we are at it the best food in the world, is Oklahoma Joe's Burnt Ends. It is literally the best thing I have ever had in my life. Just ask Anthony Bourdain http://www.oklahomajoesbbq.com/Anthony Bordain interview 6-21-10.mp3

I actually really enjoyed Winslow's BBQ the other week -- don't have a sweet tooth so some of the molasses and ketchup based sauces don't do it for me. Really enjoyed it.

Winslow's is always good. Never have to wait and much better than Gate's and Bryant's, right up there with OK Joe's IMO. Good quality and well priced.

Added burnt ends on a pulled pork sandwich -- both were crazy good.

I personally love any BBQ restaurant that allows you to add burnt ends to anything or even have as a side. :D

Next Bo Lings in the RM. Opinion varies on Winslows. I don't hate it but I dont really like it that much either in the 2 times I've been in there.

Come out and grab a bite at 7pm
