Isn't the Cowboys Stadium beautiful. It could've hosted as WC Final. Damn you Sepp Blatter.

This is impossible. Nobody can be so dynamic as to like two sports.

They should get Black Eyed Peas to play at MLS Cup halftime.

I hate American football. Why don't they call it handball?

    Are they stupid or something?

Give me soccer over any sport any day and I'll be a happy camper.

    The NFL can suck it.

And non-soccer fans wonder why so many people tune into the World Cup every 4 years.

    Boom. Roasted.

The ONLY sport the WC is 2nd to on American TV is the Superbowl. The World Cup is bigger (viewers) than the NBA finals or the "World" Series. Been that way for about a decade.

    Snap.

I once read that the origin of the word football (soccer) as the name of the game was because it was played on foot as opposed to many sports in that era that were contested on horseback. The fact that the ball was played predominately with the feet was not the main consideration.

We have enough types of handball already. The kind where you project a ball into a wall and the team version featured in the Olympics, which IMHO is a lot more entertaining than many of our mainstream American sports.

Carmelo Anthony said during the previous Olympics that he wanted to try out Team Handball.

It's not the most popular sport in the US and soccerfans are one of the reasons.

The Green Bay Packers were the 6th seed (the lowest) out of the NFC going into the playofffs.

They are the RSL of 2009 of the NFL. :)

The season should have ended with the Patriots crowned champions.

    I'm doin both!:p

By the way did anybody catch a glimpse of the halftime show? I muted it for most of the time and did things I'd rather be doing than listening to the Black eyed peas, like cleaning my bathroom. But when I did watch it out of curiosity, It was HORRID, and I happily returned to my toilet bowl halftime show instead.

I seriously thought Kiss was gonna be next given all the older groups getting their day in the spotlight again like the Who or Bringstien, You know people who can actually hold a damn chord without the use of autotune.

Except that the Pack wasn't .500. Just looked it up they were .625. Still not great, but I believe better than Colorado, RSL or LA were in their respective years.

Personally I've found talking to non-soccer fans about soccer much easier if I phrase it as, "Now, you're a sports fan, right? So what do you think about the US nats...." or whatever.

Being a dick about other peoples pursuits ain't ever gonna fly.

I realize that (and what does it matter). They're still the lowest seeded team they could possibly be, just like RSL.
