Thanks. I wish more American collectors would create similar websites so I can check out what is out there. I've had my United scarves from the early, early days, but I've only recently started collecting CONCACAF-wide; so, I've missed out on a lot... http://kennysfootballscarves.yolasite.com
Nice collections - for those interested, the Marshall's at Zona Rosa had a few old Barca Ronaldinho scarves. No telling what Marshall's will have on any give day. Anyway, the scarves were 5 dollars and they make a nice addition.
Nice collection, I've recently started my own but I'm really lagging on the number of scarves compared to your collection. I was wondering where you were able to find different scarves. I don't get much help with online searches so I thought I'd ask. Also, don't know how interested you would be in it but the Seattle Sounders have a match scarf for sale that is half the Sounders half the Wizards. You can find it on seattle sounders offical shop, should be on sale for a decent price. Also ruffneck scarves has a new Sporting KC scarf coming out soon, they just started production so don't konw when the offical release date is. Continued success on your collection.
I have my "Two Teams" scarf that I LOVE... my KC/Man United split scarf! that is my match day going scarf!.... well, actually the more i think it isn't going to be any more now that i will have to get a Sporting Scarf haha
Hillcrest Syndicate still has a handful of the Pink Breast Cancer Awareness fund raiser scarves left if anyone wanted one but was unable to get one at the final home game. Also we have a few of the previous two Cauldron scarves left as well. If anyone is interested in ordering any of these please send me a PM.
That AC St Louis scarf is totally sick -- I love it. Always loved their logo - but the colors and everything were also strong. Shame the rest of the org was so weak ..
Trust me, the merchandise department was handled just as ineptly as the rest of the organization. It's a shame since the fans in St. Louis seem quite passionate and ready to throw their full dedication behind a well-run and trustworthy club... http://kennysfootballscarves.yolasite.com/all-american-clubs.php
Anyone have/know where to get one of these split man u wizards scarfs? I saw some people with them at the game the day of and they said it was for VIP tickets. I have no idea why they didn't try to sell these at the game to everyone else. I would kill for one of these. I've asked around with some of the wizards employees but they never really got back to me. I'd pay good money for one of them.
They were only a limited number, they were for people that bought the VIP practice package. The reason I was given for them not being sold at the game was because they were limited in merchandise that they could create.
We didn't have the licensing rights to sell anything with Manchester United on it. Their licensing for that trip was owned by the company that did the merch stands on the concourse (I can't remember off the top off my head what company it was). I believe they were selling a split scarf, it just didn't look very good. We received special permission from Man Utd and their US licensee to produce the scarves to give away to those who purchased VIP packages.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or methods on how to display their scarfs? My collection has slowly been growing and I'm looking for a way to display all of them without damaging them in the process. Any ideas/methods would be appreciated. Thanks
push pins work just fine. the knit of the scarves is big enough that it won't leave a hole. Use three one on each end and one in the middle to re-leave some of the weight on the ends.
I have mine hanging from a curtain rod using the alligator clips used for hanging the curtains. I have two of them fully loaded now...plus the ones hanging in my office via the push-pin method.
I have some of mine hanging from a quilt rack in my office. I've triple hung them in spots showing mainly only the logo on the scarf. And I still don't have enough space for them.
