Perhaps this should have been addressed 2 or 3 weeks ago... You can't say it's too small less than a week left into a transfer season, what exactly were you doing the rest of the time bar kicking out other players (Bommel, Demichellis, Braafail).

At least he realizes the problem, however we are still at the very least 2 players short (defender, attacker) of having close to a full team.

Thank goodness, it's about time LvG stops the bullshit surrounding him about him wanting only Bayern II players as transfers and finally pins some pressure on the FO.
But I'm not surprised, nobody from Bayern has come out and said "we will not sign any more players" like they usually do. It seems they might be working on something.
    Must spread

I don't know if anyone was accusing LvG so much as pointing out that his statement is obvious. Management has done well to offload players that were holding us back, but they might regret not providing reinforcements later in the season.

It only remains to be seen. We at least know that LvG has similar squad concerns as we do, if not tactical solutions :D

Kroos out for atleast 4 weeks, Ribery out for 4+ weeks. Robben injury prone as the mother********ers . Good thing we don't have any annoying back-ups.:p:D

No problem. Our 20 players squad can handle such injuries with ease. If there is a lack of players due to injuries suit up our 3rd Brazilian and we are set to go.

The quote from today's press conference:

"I can't field 22 players, we can't play 11 against 11. I think it's not enough. We have one or two players too few, but Bayern is a very human club. I think van Bommel and Braafheid deserve to transfer, but of course it's a risk for us. We can't really afford to risk that, but our humanity told us to do that and I think Mark van Bommel in particular deserved to transfer.

Daniel van Buyten will return, I think he will be in the squad again. I will not take the two young players [Deul and Jüllich] along, I will leave them in Munich because I believe they benefit more from training than from sitting on the bench."

Wow, that's pretty sad. Van Gaal would probably love to take some youth product from Bayern II, but since they all suck the only option for him is to buy. Just curious, is there any member of our youth team that could become the next Badstuber or Muller for us? I know is Ekici is one of the few that even comes close, but anybody else? And how are they going to fix the talent deficit in Bayern II?

they have brought in a few players for Bayern II. The youth coming up this year and next year will be stronger than the Under 21 guys we got the last two years. That was a pretty weak crop.

they have also lost many players up to the first team which is good for the club but bad for the second team.

    Mueller, Badstubber, Contento, Kraft.

He is too young to get permission form the DFL to play in Bayern II or Bayern.

but he is 17 years old. Kroos made bayern debut with 17 and this kid from Schalke Julian Draxler made his BL debut last weekend with 17 too so why he cannot get a permission ?

    It depends on the "Stichtag"

As far as I know it's not by calender year but by season. So it depends whether you will be 18 during the season or not.

Bayern U-19 has a few more promising players.

Max Dombrowka (Germany) and Oscar Lewicki (Sweden) in defence.

    Dennis Chessa (Germany) in midfield.

nope, still sounds idiotic. Breno's biggest strength is the thing they are complaining about, especially considering Tymo's average passing. He's still learning other areas I agree, build-up play is bunch of ridiculous nonsense. If breno has problems with his build up play which is his biggest strength, there is no hope for him at all and we should be buying a new CB starter in the summer.

(bolded) wasn't this what was said of him prior to his loan move?

As I have gone on record saying this, but I firmly believe half a season on loan wasn't enough. I would have liked to see Breno get the full season.

However, with him back, we need to make due. At least LVG seems intent on using Breno as his go-to sub when we need to shore up defensively and preserve 3 points... pushing Tymo to CM.

In due time, in due time.

I think Tymo is the more reliable option for now. What is obvious is that LVG has not given up on Breno and that he still intends to make him a key player in this defense. what he says is true, he is still in a learning phase for now and if he gets some valuable minutes like he does every match(like today), it should coincide well with his learning.
Oh, and Nerlinger needs to shut the f*ck up about team matters. Wait, scratch that, he just needs to jump off a cliff period

    Exactly.

It is clear Tymo is not the long term solution there, to me.

Besides if it isn't Breno, then your next option is Van Buyten... LOL!!!

Raise your hand if you want that.... :D

Tymo IS the best option now for the simple reason that he's the best tackler and has the best positional awareness in central defense. Also, It's important for Badstuber's development to play alongside Tymo and learn from him, so he can take over that role when Tymo is pushed out by Breno eventually.
