The game is over. Saw the last 20 minutes, or so, of the game and saw the last 2 gols Bolivar scored. Apparently all 3 were from pelotas paradas; one from Ferreira, one from Rivero, one from Gomes.
    Bolivar 3 Real Potosi 0

    Yep.

That sums it up lol. Ze Carlos missed a EASY goal. Should have been more, but still not a really dominating performance. But to start things off, not bad. Lets see where they go from here.

Here's some stuff to read about, about the win yesterday.

And here is a good article on 16 years since we lost Mario Mercado. :(

The strongest look very strong, saw their highlight vs. Nacional de Potosi. That Panamanian is SOOOO dangerous, strong, fast, and a crazy shot. Regis De Souza too is always one of the most dangerous foreigners in the league with Reason.

Remember we beat the always strong Liga de Quito with Aguinaga to get to the final vs. Boca. A good highlight above. watch it.

I hope Hoyos is the key to getting a strong team.

I dont expect him to turn us into a team like Oriente overnight, but I hope we find better players in the summer time, and he brings us playing a quick, more attractive style like he wants us to play.

Its only his first couple of weeks with the team, with a good result so far, it shoudl only get better.

What I liked about Bolivar when I watched them against Potosi, was that they're no longer playing like any bolivian team would. They're not standing around anymore, they were pressuring and not giving potosi a chance to walk and think with the ball.
A bolivian team was finally pressuring to every ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was an improvement in itself.

Also I forgot to add, some guy I think is about to sign, Juan Camilo Rios a colombian that has passed through some decent teams in colombia, DIM being one. I wonder if he was there with Diego Cabrera? Either way, he has a trial, and he can be the last foreigner if we sign him possibly.

News on the Clasico from El Diario:

"El Gran Centro que lleva el nombre del presidente vitalicio del club y el estadio de Tembladerani cambiarán también de nombre, de acuerdo con lo expresado por Marcelo Claure, presidente de BAISA.
En la Academia sienten profundo agradecimiento por lo que hizo el dirigente en favor de la institución, pero consideran que ...también son importantes las obras que se pueden hacer de aquí en más."

Sad, but I agreee with Claure. He has his mind on making Bolivar like a european team, and is starting from the gruond up little by little. I support his idea.

Also.... FINALLY Bolivar has listened, and are going to start I think a team store, beterr then the one they have now, which I heard was a HUGE mess.

Its going to be called BOLIVAR MANIA hahahaha.

Hopefully they will have something so the stuff can be shipped. Eitherway, I might have to buy some new stuff. Not feeling the new hope and alternate jerseys. The ones from 2010 were waaay better. These are just knock offs of the chelsea third kit. YUCK!

Seems like Nacho probably will play saturday. They are cutting it close though.

    http://www.jornadanet.com/n.php?a=58514-1

Flores has now finally been allowed to play in the libertadores and in any other tournament outside bolivia. They reversed the order over his postive testing for Doping which was false in the end.

    http://eldiario.net/noticias/2011/2011_01/nt110121/7_03dep.php

    http://www.paginasiete.bo/2011-01-21/Campeones/Destacados/4-500000421.aspx

Bolivar most likely will play Hoyos' favorite 4-3-3, and hopeufllly attack very agressively.

This is the probably line up:

    ----------------------------------------W. Ferreira------------------------------
    ------------------A. Reyes--------------------------------------Ze Carlos--------

    --------------------------Ruddy Cardozo-------------------W. Flores-------------
    -----------------------------------------Nacho Garcia-----------------------------

    L. Alvarez---------------Frontini------------------Rivero-------------------Bustillos

    --------------------------------------Arguello-----------------------------------

    http://www.laprensa.com.bo/noticias/21-1-2011/noticias/21-01-2011_10028.php

This lineup looks MEAN...... Abdon being pushed up as aforward is a nice change.

Seems too that we may fill our quota of foreingers by signing that defender Camilo Rios form Colombia, as he has shown well in practice. Good size, good on set pieces and has good vision from the back it states.

    http://www.laprensa.com.bo/noticias/21-1-2011/noticias/21-01-2011_10030.php

They will debut the green jersey. They are trying to copy barca' and other clubs that use a unusual green color or flashy color not tied to the club to attract attention and a form of 'marketing'? I dunno if I like it.... but I might just have to get my hands on one of these jerseys as a collectors item. :p

Also more news on the jerseys and why we dont have a legit sponsor in the link.

    More news!

Interewsting info on all the games bolivar has played vs. chilean rivals, we have a history of wins at home. No losses in the Siles baby! Lets hope we get at least a 2 goal advantage at home!

    http://www.paginasiete.bo/2011-01-25/Campeones/NoticiaPrincipal/233AdelantosCampeones001.aspx

Interesting stuff on how the team psychologist is handling the team morale and how Nacho is going to lead our guys into battle, and how we are really united as a team right now.
    http://www.jornadanet.com/n.php?a=58661-1

News on Union Espanola, they plan to go with a 4-3-3 setup, which had success with the coach when he beat the strongest in 06'. More news on the players and new guys they got.

    http://www.jornadanet.com/n.php?a=58666-1

"Capitán de U. Española: "Hay que jugar inteligente en Bolivia, pero pensando en ganar"
En la previa del duelo copero ante Bolívar en La Paz, Gonzalo Villagra confía en que la altura no será problema."

    http://www.latercera.com/noticia/de...on-hay-que-jugar-inteligente-en-bolivia.shtml

Nacho says he wants a 3-0 win. The team morale is high, they expect a defensive effort on and to attack on counters from Union Espanola.

I have a feeling Ruddy Cardozo is going to be the star for this game.

    http://www.laprensa.com.bo/noticias/25-1-2011/noticias/25-01-2011_10208.php

More on the game coming up, and a good quote from Nacho:

Also there is a chance their starting keeper will not play, as rumor is he got hurt.

    http://eldiario.net/noticias/2011/2011_01/nt110125/7_04dep.php

So apparently their keeper is hurt, and their second keeper will start. Here is their formation:

Ay of these names ring a bell?

And more stuff on the team. http://eldiario.net/noticias/2011/2011_01/nt110125/7_12dep.php

Here is a break down of the game coming up, and what needs to be done to win. The strengths and weaknesses of our team, etc. Good read to get you ready.

    More news!

Hoyos had the boys practicing at 9:15pm to get them read yto play at that time of night.
    http://www.clubbolivar.com/index.ph...icle&id=500:practica-nocturna&catid=50:inicio

The forwards say the importance is to win, and by that I think a goleada. Bolivar IMO needs at least a 2-0 defecit or 3-1 to take to chile.

    http://www.la-razon.com/version_ma.php?ArticleId=3529&EditionId=2420&ids=320

It seems we are going with a 4-3-3 vs. Union Espanola. Abdon on the left and Ze Carlos on the right. Both will act basically as wingers. Hoyos though has the idea that on defending we turn into a 4-4-2 and on attacking a 4-3-3.

    This is his lineup:

    ----------------------------------Arguello--------------------------------

    E. Rodriguez--------------Frontini------------------Rivero---------L. Alvarez

    ----------------------------------W. Flores------------------------------
    ---------------------------N. Garcia---------Cardozo---------------------

    --------------e Carlos--------------------------------Abdon Reyes----
    ----------------------------------Ferreira--------------------------------

    http://www.la-razon.com/version_ma.php?ArticleId=3528&EditionId=2420&ids=320

Hoyos wants a 3-0 result for the most comfort to play in Chile:

    http://www.jornadanet.com/n.php?a=58710-1

    More stuff on the libertadores:

Da rosa most likely still not to play as its reported he has some muscular problem.

    http://www.paginasiete.bo/2011-01-26/Campeones/Destacados/04Cam01260111.aspx

    Article from El Diario:

Bolivar are in BIG trouble though... as it seems Ferreira is one step away from becoming a new signing for Valladolid of Spain in the second divison.

    http://deportes.terra.com.pe/futbol...0b47bc22813cd210VgnVCM20000099f154d0RCRD.html

    Not good at all!

Bolivar would be SCREWED!! I hope they can hold on to him at least til' the summer time. As that is when he could leave on a free. ALso depends on how much Valladolid are offering too, to break his contract right now.

Although it's great to see our club again in International Competition, it's the same shit as usual, have many opportunities to score but can't freaking capitalize on them and just our luck, the visiting nets one in. WTF?! Cardozo was nasty though . . . let's hope Hoyos changes this "jugamos como nunca, perdemos como siempre" routine and at halftime gives the players a speech that'll make them come out scoring 2 or 3. Vamos Bolivar!
