What's with the Uzbek forwards?? They just got a break when a player broke through with a good chance but the other forwards aren't catching up to the play fast enough to help him out!

Kewell getting a rest, Kruse on. Scott McDonald is suddenly feeling ill.

What is that? Five or six incorrect offside decisions now?

Phew. Good run by Carney, with an Allsopp-esque goal.

A shame for Uzbekistan to self-destruct. They're a better team than this.

where are the idiots who said uzbekistan is 4rth in asia? every time a team like china or uzbekistan does good and teams like Iran or saudi lose people are like 'uzbekistan/china/bahrain/qatar' will be top tier asian teams in 5 years. yet it NEVER happened as i said from the beginning.

    1st tier: australia/japan/south korea/Iran/saudi
    2nd tier: uzbekistan/bahrain/china/jordan/qatar/iraq, etc....

thats just how it is. yes australia/japan/south korea do better than Iran and saudi in the world cup but when these teams play each other they are always on the same level.

Uzbeks being dismantled now. Goalkeeper is the only one providing any resistance.

AFC has four teams that matter: Japan, ROK, Australia, and Iran.

    Australia are cruising through this.

They definitely have an advantage in the final against a Japanese team who are exhausted after killing themselves out there today.

its a shame that teams like Iran and south korea have to be eliminated but teams like autralia get an automatic finals berth by playing against 2nd tier sides such as iraq and uzbekistan. australia will have their first challenge in the final. although... i still think australia and japan is gonna be 50/50 and it is the most fitting final.. they are the best 2 teams in asia and it will be an epic clash. typically i would want japan to win but i dont want japan to have 4 asian cups so i hope australia win. but although i think australia has a good chance to win against japan... i seriously do believe both Iran and south korea would have been more likely to beat australia in the final.

They should let Schwarzer play forward for a while and put Holman back in goal. LMAO!!

It seems like most every Socceroo has scored except him!

You do Iraq, who have always given us and other "1st tier" teams problems, a disservice. They have an Asian Cup win in the 2000s to their name, whether you like it or not.

Japan will be a massive challenge for us, though with how we went against Sth Korea, I'm confident that it will be a good contest at the least.

i hope the idiots who said uzbekistan is better than Iran and saudi are watching this.:D just because a 2nd tier side does well in a tournment once or improves it doesnt mean that they are better than a side that is one level higher than them.

What the hell happened to Uzbekistan? 6-0? That last goal was ridiculous. The keeper failure was horrible. Are there only young players, not used to pressure? If so, why would this match be so different from the rest of the Cup, in which they played so well?

I am really sorry for their fans, and to think this was a team I was sympathizing with...

Did Australia go back to OFC?

I did say the Uzbek game would be much easier then the Iraq game was.

I think even Jordan would have put up a better fight then this.
