You are very quick to dismiss any article/post that questions anything LVG.

I thought it was a valid opinion with some good points.

Its a fair argument that without Schweinsteiger and Gomez performances in the first half of the season, we probably wouldnt even be in connotation for second maybe even third place.

He is also correct about the holes/weaknesses from last year are still here for everyone to see and to take advantage of. You still can drive buses and 18 wheel trucks through our defense, we still crack under any form of pressure, and we still lack a plan B.
Sure you cant fix these holes in one or two summer, but you should at least see some form of improvement.

Much respect to Mark Von Bommel.

Setting my personal feelings aside for the man, he performed amirably for Bayern in his 4+ years of service. I will never forget this moment....

Thanks for the memories Mark. You were a bad ace enforcer, an old school Bayern throwback to an era that once dominated the Olympic Stadium.

I wish you the best of luck in Milan!

Got a question. In FIFA 10, there's a small sound clip of Bayern supporters singing a song that's to the tune of "My Darling Clementine." Do you know what song it's called when Bayern fans sing it?

With MVB's departure, we now turn to our lineup without him...

CM core is down to the following (in not particular order):
    - Schweini
    - Tymoschuk
    - Ottl
    - Gustavo
    - Kroos (when healthy)
    - Pranjic (when needed)

I think the bigger concern is LVG's infatuation with Schweini playing AM, and the determined outlook by the club/coach/players that it continue. I wouldn't feel so bad about MVB departure if Schweini was the person to sit in the spot at CM, but it is clear that Schweini will likely not play there.

So, now Tymoschuk has his chance. Time to prove your worth, as you did in the first half of the season.

I personally would rather Schweini step in next to Tymo at CM, let Mueller play in the hole behind Gomez, and let Altontop/Pranjic/whomever duke out the LM spot until (a) Kroos recovers his form/health, or (b) Ribery is fit to play once again.

Gustavo to remain at LB, as I don't think he is too much like Tymo in midfield perhaps... thus continuing the same MVB-Tymo type pairing that has not worked in the past.

EDIT: Don't be surprised if you see Ottl in that role... I hate even saying it aloud, but LVG has proven he will use Ottl when necessary. Just sayin.
    Don't shoot the messenger...

It has never been necessary to use Ottl

Infatuation? Who else shall play AM when Mueller needs to play either for Ribery or Robben and Kroos being injured? There is no infatuation behind Schweinsteiger playing AM it is a necessity due to the injury list

Wish I can find a longer version of the chant instead of a 13 second chant. Nothing on youtube, though.

Altintop (LW, RW) and Pranjic (LW) when Ribery or Robben is unavailable.

Why is it that one player is absent as in the case of Ribery but he sees fit to make two almost three changes in the lineup by swapping players rather than just using a bench player to fill in the role.

    Muller stay at AM
    Ribery Out >> Pranjic
    Schweini >>> CM
    Gustavo >>> LB

Simple solution in my eyes that could have been used in the last match.

I can help but wonder, If LVG told MVB in the summer that he doesnt have future here, why was he so against the Khedira transfer then?

Good question. Two possible reasons come to my mind:
    1) Either one of those reports is BS (the van Bommel strory in the summer, or the Khedira story)
    2) He thinks Khedira doesn't suit his system.

    Thanks for stating the obvious.

We shall see when all are healthy if it is still a position he holds. My bet is yes, it will be.

The Khedira story was confirmed by the F.O (both Uli, and Nerlinger IRC)

Even If he didnt tell MVB that in the summer, he still would have known deep inside that he doesnt want to plan ahead with him.

As for not suiting his system, that might be true I guess, but IMO Khedira would have been a good fit here.

The only thing I can think of, is that he was planning to replace MVB with Kroos, (Tymo, Pranjic as backups)

Khedira's close ball control is(imo) not good enough to play in LvG's system.

In an interview after we signed Gustavo, LVG said that Gustavo thinks his best position is the midfield, but he disagrees. If you want to take his words, this might means that he wants Gustavo as a permanent LB, and not looking to use him as a CM(unless we have injuries).

Because 99% of the time it's nonsense blown way out of proportion. From day one the dumb myth was perpetuated on a weekly basis with virtually no legs to stand on. It continued despite the exact opposite happening. That was my problem with it, not the other points.
