Dynamo Downtown Stadium Thread

Just trying to provide some realistic perspective. To hear you and others, we'll all be like the Jetsons getting transported in little bubbles to the entrance of the stadium using Metrorail with no delay.

 

Ok, how bout this - DONT SHOW UP. Problem solved and the rest of us can take our flying cars.

There was a stadium rally on the site last year on marathon weekend and parking was not a problem at all. The wife and I went to the rally and then drove over to the GRB and met some friends at the expo.

 

Yea, me too, but my car got stolen during the rally.

 

What the hell? Where they waiting for me move out of state before they finally had groundbreaking?

 

Speaking of the light rail, Metro has a new rail car.



People will probably still pull out in front of it.

 

By coincidence or just for this? Either way, that's cool. I guess it hasn't been officially announced yet, but here's hoping. It will be cool that one year and two weeks after the first downtown rally, we will (hopefully) see ground broken.

Hey, it's a DYNAMO towel, ok? Those were all my creations, I was expecting a huge crowd and the flags to be flying amongst them.

Well, ok, now it says "rain" but who cares? It will still be bright and sunny in the East End.

 

may now be the following Saturday... I think its safe to assume that they're still waiting for something to happen that is outside their control: country/city

 

They can't keep moving it, I keep moving back important things I have to do. They're starting to stack up on me. Also the next week is a Dynamo game.

That's the only reason why you might want to go to the groundbreaking of the new Dynamo Stadium? Something we've been waiting on for five years? Something that anchors the Dynamo to Houston is a way that nothing else will? Something that ushers in a new age of the Dynamo?

i don't blame dustcowpoke for feeling the way he does.

there's a danger of stampede at this event from all the media whores that will run towards the cameras to take credit for building this stadium.
