Yeah, but as I said, what about J. Aurich? Or Argentinos Juniors? Or Newell's Old Boys? Or The Strongest? There are more teams like that than big clubs, and they won't draw because these fools up here don't know them. Also, why should a big SA club come up here just to destroy a USA team. That's a waste of time. This tournament is competitive, we don't need and 10-0 scores, which is what you'd get if they played these mickeymouse teams.
ok ok but if FIFA had your attitude the World cup would never have had African,Asian or North American teams even enter but right now we have had three World cups in those places(not includeing Mexico as its obviously un pais futbolero)I beleive MLS teams in the Libertadores would be awin win situation long term
Nobody goes to see Juan Aurich anywhere, man or any other sh1tty team(like Chivas in the Omnilife stadium) It would only take one MLS team to have a good campaign and a few good results. that's all and everyone would be in the bandwagon The US national team fills stadiums everytime they have a meaningful game You are behind the times or your anti-american sentiments dont let you see clearly You probably think that Mexico is still "el Gigante de la Concacaf" Meanwhile the "gringos" are just looking ahead and keep kicking you ass in every game
Those places that hosted the World Cup are eligible to win the World Cup, since it's open to the entire world. Lib Cup is a Latin American tourney, usa teams don't belong there. Teams like Saprissa and Marathon have more of a right to enter. It won't be win-win, the integrity of the sport of football will LOSE. No they don't, what are u smokin. Only when they play Mexico or a popular Latin team. There are empty seats everywhere when they play T&T or Canada. Who's the current Gold Cup champion? Who has more players in Europe doing more for their teams?
I'll repeat it. You guys have obvously never watched MLS. MLS is a better league than most Latin American Leagues. The ones better might be Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico. A few other ones might be at the same level, but this isn't your old man's MLS. This is the real deal. Or are you going to tell me that(no offense) you would rather watch Venezuelan or Bolivian teams rather than an MLS team?
Yes, SHOULDN'T. Probably wouldn't watch either. And at the end of the day Bolivia and Venezuela are members while United States isn't. Also what is this bullshit that the only TV market out there is the United States where they barely like football at all and so we have to invite outsiders to our tournament(and even if it was the only solluton it's already done with Mexico), i don't see anybody else doing this, and if it's they who need the boost that's their problem, the problem is that CONMEBOL is so ********ing retarded that if they would've looked around other markets and/or other sollutions this wouldn't even be discussed, or simply if CONMEBOL wasn't managed like shit. You're right more likely, but this is about clubs...
Hey man, dont have to tell me ... i would kick everybody out if it was up to me but a mexican complaining about an MLS club being invited in? the nerve...
I sure agree with ya! that is why I am willing to propose 'repechaje' de champion or runner up to the title in MLS vs mexico #3.....and find a sub-entry for that footy into copa libertadores. even new franchises like seatle or Phili...are ready to deal with the best of the League. In no time they will have promotuion and relegation in their systems.
