Well, as a Bundesliga fan, you should be able to agree that IFFHS rankings are terrible, right? The Bundesliga is ranked a distant 5th by IFFHS, mostly because they only play 34 games per year while the top 4 (Spain, England, Italy, and Brazil) play 38.

I prefer the UEFA coefficients myself. Germany just over took Italy last season.

4,870 for a country of 15 million people vs. 16,675 in a country of 300 or so million people ??? haha!!! Although I agree it should be higher here in Ecuador, the attendance in usa is pathetic in relation to its population. Ours is MUCH higher in relation to our population!!! Thats what has to be taken in consideration obviously, but the he forgot something so basic!!!
And obviously we have much more talent, much more history and obviously a better league overall

there could be 1 person in our stadium, but no matter what your mls league is crap. i'd rather watch a high school game over that bs. our talent compared to the mls? pleeaaseee lol

your mls teams will never see a Copa Libertadores. let's save the embarrassment.

enjoy the pretigious concacaf "champions league" LOL, i love how they added the "champions league" at the end trying jock the REAL UEFA Champions League.

You also have to account that Soccer is the 7th or 8th sport of importance. behind even Tennis. I don't think you can compete with that. The MLS is a good solid league. More History? The USA did manage to beat England in 1950 at the World Cup. Fluke, Wild hair or whatever you want to Call it.. THEY DID IT. Humility goes a long way.

Yeah, it is the 7th or 8th sport or whatever....but with 300 million people theres a lot of foreigners....and most of them love football so theres much more people and fans than in Ecuador and therefore its obvious there should be higher attendance. In both places its too low for the number of fans there is in each place. But taking in consideration the number of fans in each place, income, etc. the attendance in MLS is very poor. Although in Ecuador it could and should be higher, it's not bad for its population. And like someone said, it doesn't matter because 1 fan here will make much more noise than a thousand mls fans haha. And yes, more history, clubwise and NT wise. Imagine USA in conmebol....they would never even qualify to the World Cup. And clubwise well....They could have never won what Liga did for instance....

Wow....really? We actually got an Ecuador vs USMNT debate going on here based on their leagues and matches from 1950???

yeah, they have 300 million people that don't give a damn about soccer. That's a ridiculous statement. Aucas probably has more fans than Peñarol and Nacional of Uruguay with a population of 3 million. Do you really want to start playing the numbers games? I Imagine the USA reaching a Semifinal of a Copa America in how many attempts? Compared to how many of Ecuador's?

I'll goes easy on you.. You do know that the USA has 9 players in England....Alone? and Ecuador has no one even remotely close to the caliber of goalkeepers they have? Those are some bold statements.. Not bad for a league with that low of attendance.

You didnt understand, thas even ore riduculous. I meant out of the 300 million probably 250 dont give a damn about football. They give a damn about sports than most people in the world dont give a damn about....so what, thats life!!! Who cares? The point is that theres a pool of 50 million though (to give a rough numer) that do give a damn....
You where talking about humility in the last post being an argentine!!!
Or a gringo argentine to be more exact...:D

no, You don't understand. THE USA is not a Soccer nation. Never was and never will be, no matter what the population is. Sport Wise, When in the Hell has the USA cared about what the rest of the World thinks or cares about? THEY DON"T GIVE A DAMN... Humility? Well besides the normal trolling.. Do you see me screaming Boca this and Boca that? Argentina this or Argentina that? You know why? Because I can remember when We had no World Cups and I waiting 20+ years for Boca to win another Copa Libertadores which I thought would never come. Humility? yes, Especially from fans from a Country that until recently used to be a joke and the only thing they could claim is exactly your bigsoccer name. SPENCER.. But I guess if you are young and have only witness Ecuador's NT and Ecuadorian club success than you can't appreciate what sacrifices it has taken to get there.

Well, He claims to watch futbol since 1985 yet his profile has him at 29 years old. Which makes him probably 3 or 4 years old at the time. Jesus, in 1985, I was kicking the ball around with Hamilton Cuvi.. Damn I'm old!!!

lol this all started with something I said? sorry about that.

Argentine futbol, you said they have 10 scrubs over there in the EPL but their best guys are clit demsey and howard. i don't see any one of their guys being nominated on pfa's team of the year. So compare their best footballer to ours. exactly, they can't match us. from a country that has only 13 million people with low attendance and less resources....but we're still better.

how about in the next santander libertadores we invite some of the mls teams and see if they can handle it? sounds like a good but yet HUMILIATING IDEA.

i just love the idea of seeing DC United or Toronto Fc in a group with Liga or even Deportivo ChiQuito for that matter.

Yes mi friend....it was 1985....a superclasico Liga Aucas....my dad is a Liga fan....well yes since I was 4 years old I'm involved sentimentaly with my beloved Ecuador's Futbol. I was born in 1981 at 2 am since u wanna be so exact with ages. I remember, yes....I was an esmeraldas petrolero fan till i was 3 years old of age and then a barcelona fan till death. Maybe u are older....good for u! (or bad :p) But u r talking to someone that believed we wehre never gonna qualify to a world cup....a guy that saw in Lupo Quinonez or Ermen Benitez our hope. I saw the Draskovic process.....I lives the times when no one believed in our football but i did....
I remember my dad telling me that we where never gonna qualify for a world cup and I told him he was wrong....that was in 1990 ;)
Hamilton Cuvi??? Lol he was in my campeonato nacional revista Estadio album ;) I have em since 1985 all completed. He was one of our hopes back in the 80's.
