This is a farewell party at 810 on the plaza this coming Thursday that also raises money for the Child Protection Center. http://cpcevents.org/conrad-event.html
Man if we had a week instead of a day's notice we could fill 810 Zone up. To make the details easy to find in this thread. Where: 810 Zone on the Plaza When: 5-8 PM. Doesn't cost money, but you can buy $10 raffle tickets that support the Child Protection Center and you can win some sweet gear. They're asking you to RSVP with sguthrie@cpckc.org by Wednesday but I'm guessing that's to be in the gameroom where the event is. Even if you find out Thursday at 3 you can go, there's nothing to stop someone from just showing up to 810 Zone to get a drink or meal and saying goodbye to Big Jim Conrad. 810 Zone will donate 10% of all food and beverage sales as well. Fans didn't get to say goodbye at a game, it'd be pretty classy if we made a strong showing at this.
Is anyone else going to this? It's for a good cause, you get to say goodbye to a Wizards legend. I didn't RSVP, but I'm going to show up and support the event. Anyone who wants to come have a drink with me, I'll be there.
I'm going to try and swing by after work. It's just down the street from my place. That is, assuming it's not -4 again outside. I'm not walking four blocks in this cold, even for Jimmy.
You told everyone to rsvp and then you didn't rsvp? Well played sir. I'm going and I did rsvp, but I'll have to skip class and I will be late.
Ha! I felt like I was telling everyone that it's probably okay to not RSVP bc that's what I might be doing. I wasn't sure if I would get there before 7. I ended up RSVP'ing after I made the post, but I pulled an all-nighter last night and hadn't gotten to it yet today. I've moved my work schedule around enough that I should be there just a little after 5. It'll be good to see everyone again. This offseason has seemed longer than most.
