Unfortunately not, I've only attended games in person casually due to money, mostly sitting in the "quiet" side of RFK.

I'm going to miss the pre-game experience DC United has always had, hopefully this club can have a similar tailgating environment at the citrus bowl. That's always made for a great time even when the team struggles like this past season.

Sorry for getting off topic, but any of you thinking of making the trip up to Charleston to see DC play in the Carolina Challenge Cup? March 5-12 DCU, Chicago, TFC and the Battery play a round robin tourney. the Battery and DC will play for the Coffee Pot Cup as well

There are a dozens of fans coming down from Toronto, DC and Chicago. TFC and DCU fans are renting several beach houses for the week. The Regiment (the Battery's supporter group) is hosting tailgates, pub crawl and watch parties all week, as well as just being good host to our guest for the week.

Would be happy to help out any one making the trip, both with supporter stuff or just where to stay or what to do. plus you get a sneak peak at one of your toughest competions next season ;)

That sounds awesome, at that point in time it will more than likely still be a trip down from the DC area for me. I'm going to have to look into that more and see if I can't make it, though.

its a great time, helps shake off the dust from a long off season, get to hang with other soccer loving people,

several SE and Barra Barra have commited to coming down already. there are usually a good 50 or so for the DC/Battery match (historically the last match of the tourneyment) The TFC guys (usually around 30 or 40 of them) are great too. They have been coming for a number of years, we've taken them out shooting, golfing, concerts, seedy bars, hockey games and other hidden treasures around charleston.

Even tho' we were SE's we also sat on the "quiet" side - Sect. 106! We were Season ticket holders from '99 thru "04 when we moved here! Sure miss it!

The Stingrays? It would be cool to throw in seeing one of the Washington Capitals minor league affiliates, too.

Quick and FSG, this season we can watch Orlando/Winter Park/FC Kraze's own Dax McCarty running Benny's engine room for us. A nice little Orlando connection for us to our favorite MLS side.

Hopefully, there will be a friendly between United and OCSC some time.

That was a great pick up for United. I'm definitely excited to see what MLS teams OCSC will play, DC United would be pretty fantastic

Oh, Yes! Dare I dream! I am so devastated by yesterday's WC 2022 announcement that I really need something to look forward! Guess I should just be happy that we are getting a team here!

We should focus more on WINNING the World Cup than HOSTING the World Cup.

Easy for you to say - You won't be 88 yrs. old in 2030!!! And from something I read, it would probably go to Europe that year! ( I may have that in reverse and can't recall the source to look it up, but I thought the speculation was China in 2026 and Europe in 2030!!!)
I fear I will never get to see a WC match in person! Even if we were to get it in 2030, I seriously doubt they'd consider Kissimmee as a venue and that will probably be as far as I'll be able to travel!!!!

Hey all. Im Ralph... looking forward to meeting you all this season. Im from Orlando, but moved to NY for 2 years where I supported the Metro/RB and was in teh ESC. Moved back and when I heard there was going to be a team in Orlando, I didnt care what league it was in... I was going to get my season tix and bring the ruckus for 90 min every game.

Does anyone know if we will be allowed to bring in flags to teh Citrus Bowl? I made my own for RBA and plan to do so with OCSC when I find out what our team colors are.... I know what its like to watch a game in a dump like Giants Stadium......so the Citrus Bowl isnt going to phase me:cool:

I'll say this, after having seen pro soccer in both locations, that the Citrus Bowl has far superior sight lines.

But both have turf, are too big and have terrible bathrooms. ;)

According to the Citrus Bowl's site about bowl games:

    http://www.fcsports.com/Home/ChampsSportsBowl/FanCentral.aspx

Hopefully the team and venue can work something out so we can make some good sized flags and banners. I also have drums, horns, and trumpets I was hoping to bring...

Tailgating rules for the venue during bowl games:
I have only been to the Citrus Bowl one time (saw monster trucks there back in like 1996 or 1997), but it can't be too much worse than RFK...

i was at the Citrus Bowl for WrestleMania before I moved... We werent allowed to have flags at Giants Stadium since it was privately owned. RBA had different rules since it was the clubs home...

Thats me....and that was my flag...im shipping it to ESC so it can fly high there. Can I make one like that for City? Letters arent perfect but I can try.

So what does this mean for the supporters section?
Obviously there needs to be sign saying "Welcome to the Lions Den" or "The Pride". haha
