That new match thread is what I keep looking for too, the Monday match got me so pumped I am looking forward to the next match maybe even more than usual. It will not be a 5-0 victory for Barca I would boldly predict (nor a blowout for us at all but a hard fought win, I hope, where we look a bit less lustrous than we did on Monday). Their pitch is small, Messi did not practice today (thanks Ramos) but hopefully will be ready.

I've been saying this for a while. Pretty much everything Ronaldo does is dependent on his athletic abilities. Run fast, kick hard, rinse lather repeat. Those silly stepovers he does, how often do they actually fool/beat the defender?

or imagine both ronaldo and messi at 34. messi will still be able to do through balls, accurate shots, even dribble.. ronaldo wont be able to all the things he does now. well thats just what i think :p

Oh and how many times do you think messi has to outshine ronaldo untill people accept he is better? every time ronaldo and messi have been on the pitch against each other, messi has always performed better. (vs manu and lpb)

Congrats... Honestly, I hope Xavi wins the award. If not now, then when for him? Messi will win it many times to come.

La Gazzetta says it is Iniesta. I hope for Xavi, might be his last chance to get it.

Just have to say, this is so important. Whomever is picked, will be a Masia product. It is just incredible. Not just 1 but 3 from the same youth system.

I'd be shocked if Iniesta wins, to be honest. but the bookies have he and Xavi both at 1/1 to win. Messi is 8/1....bonkers

Three possible winners and two are at 1/1 odds? Bonkers indeed.

Man I hope Xavi wins. Though a 3-way tie would be very cool.

I hope Xavi gets it. He deserves to get at least one in his career. Iniesta scored the winning goal in the World Cup so I think he is the favourite. But we all know that Messi is the best player in the world.

Del Bosque, who couldn't vote for any of his Spanish players, listed Messi-CRonaldo-Schweinsteiger in that order.
Has anyone heard of other coaches/captains/journalists on who they selected?
