Past winners: T&T 8 times , Jamaica 4 , Haiti and Martinique once.
The best Guadeloupe has done is 3rd three times. So this is their best finish to date.

Yes my friend, Guadeloupe has already won the Caribbean Cup. That was in ....1948!!! An eternity! At the time, this competition was called "Trophée Caraïbe". This edition was held in Guadeloupe. Guadeloupe won Martinique 3-0 in final game. A time when most Caribbean countries had not yet gained their independence, a time also when CFU didn't exist. The "Trophée Caraïbe" had never been renewed! So Guadeloupe was the first Caribbean champion in the history and remain champion for 30 years!!!!

The difference in fitness between the two sides is starting to show, you get the feeling that that, if anything, will be what proves the difference in the match.

im starting to think digicel cup is like the gold cup cup...they want Jamaica in the finals as much as concacaf want the U.S or mexico in the finals ...these no calls are ridiculous. even the announcers were saying those were fouls.

Grenada have put in a performance to be proud of...and they still have two subs, maybe bring on Shane Rennie and Ricky Charles to run at the tiring Jamaican defenders. I think Facey has done quite well tonight but he is barely fit enough to play 90 minutes much the less 120, so maybe Charles can replace him. I'm not sure Michael Mark is in the squad but it may be time for him as well, the Grenadian defence look like they're running on fumes.

Grenada just ran out of gas. After Patrick Modeste went off the midfield fell apart and the strikers have been starved of service since. Unless there are injuries I can't understand not brining on Ricky Charles and Shane Rennie.

The ref didn't have a great game but to blame the loss on him would just be wrong, especially after that laughable red card to Sergio Campbell.

they said ricky is not available. So maybe he's injured. But what about that offside that almost allowed Jamaica to score another goal when the lines man had the flag up and the ref waived off the lines man ? Even the announcers were screaming offside, and said the ref was in no position to wave off the lines man when he couldn't see from where he was standing. that right there was even more proof they wanted Jamaica to win this game. when the lines man put up the flag, the announcers screaming offside and you see the ref not pay any attention to the lines man you have start asking questions.

Sure the Grenadians were burnt out...Jamaica looked more fit and look like the better team all game but come on. Its clear as day light digicel wanted Jamaica in the finals as much as concacaf wants mexico or the U.S in the gold cup finals. It showed in the actions of the ref. There were a lot of no calls in this game for Grenada that even the announcers pointed out. im looking at the game thinking that got to be a foul. the announcers saying foul but you see play still continuing. Kitson bain got fouled about 5 times right outside the box and those were not called to the point where he got frustrated and rip the Jamaican players shirt open because he was being pulled down all game. Then you got immature bradley bubb that notice the ref wasn't calling nothing and looked like he just wanted to fight somebody.

anyways im proud of our players. they played with heart. if i came on here yesterday and said Jamaica vs Grenada would go into extra time most of you would laugh. kitson bain should be on his way to the MLS.

congratulation to Jamaica and Guadalupe. good luck...

I wonder what the motivation for Cuba and Grenada is going to be? Who cares more about grabbing 3rd place...

Grenada as they probably need the money more (its a $20,000 difference).

Not sure about that... Cubans need money as hell, but most likely footballers won't see the dime out of reward. It is going to be pocketed by federation and officials. It happened in a past in all communistic countries.

Not in cash, but I'm guessing the NT players are better-fed than the average Cuban (or they'd tire out quickly).

The money would probably just go to the Cuban goverment which has many allies. Grenada is much smaller so I'm guessing the GFA would not have nearly as much money as the Cuban organization. That $20,000 could probably charter a plane and pay for hotel rooms for a pre-Gold Cup friendly, something they did not participate in before the last Gold Cup.
