Joan Laporta won his parliamentary election yesterday.

Dunno how much sway these four seats have. Anyone else better versed with Catalan politics?

Not much... but it may be something the party can build on. It's the beauty of a system that allows for proportional representation.

Copa Catalunya tomorrow in Sabadell. Two 45-minute games against Espanyol and Hospitalet.

The squad: Pinto, Jeffren, Keita, Bojan, Maxwell, Mascherano, Adriano, Thiago, Rochina, Vázquez, Soriano, Tello, Montoya, Bartra, Dos Santos, Romeu, Fontàs, Sergi Gómez, Riverola, Masip, Carmona and Abraham.

22 man squad so everyone will probably get 45 minutes. Does anyone if the games are going to be broadcasted? It would be interesting to see the youngsters.

Why isn't Nolito in the squad btw? Injured or maybe Pep wants to give the other players some playing time?

I hope it's not because his contract is up at the end of the year and he's stated that he wants to leave.

Pep believes in him and he said that he should stay in Barca.

So it wouldn't be that smart if he moved now. He should at least have some patience.

I'd love for him to stay, Thiago and him have a great understanding playing for Barça B. But I wouldn't fault him for leaving. He's already 24 and he's got to shine on a big stage somewhere soon if he wants any chance of getting that one big contract a good player can get in his mid-20's.

Yeah of course he is getting older and he wants to play football in Primera Division. But he would probably go to some midtable team. So I believe it would worth for him to stay and wait for a chance a bit longer, and if it doesn't work out he can still find a midtable team.

As Pep said: "It's worth to stay in Barca and fight for a spot."

    The schedule of Copa Catalunya:

    Espanyol-Hospitalet (20.45)
    Espanyol-FCB (21.45)
    Hospitalet-FCB (22.45)

All games are 45 minute games.

The game against Espanyol can be a tough one since they brought 14 first team players, we only brought 7.

Pep never won Copa Catalunya before.

another goal to espanyol, Pep doesn't look to be adding to his trophy case this (last) missing piece of hardware. 2-0 down and only 20 minutes to go.

Bartra gets one back for us, unmarked on the corner he nods it in.

OVer, 2-1 to Espanyol, we looked more dangerous in the last 15 minutes, 2 shots by Bojan (a really nice one from distance) and 1 from Adriano, but nothing doing. 6 points for Espanyol in 2 games, 0 for us in 1.

    Nice.

Oh well, you can't win them all... we would have crushed them if there was a 2nd half. ;)
