Slightly annoying? Its been full on annoying to me since the day they started it since Comcast here outright refuses to add FSC HD.... yet they'll quickly add some crap channel like ION HD without thinking twice about it.

Because if you had Dish you could watch it in HD. If you are a sorry Comcast customer (like me) you are screwed by their pathetic lineup.

Small bandwidth? Just a few months ago they more than doubled their HD lineup in my area. It went from about 20 HD channels to around 50, but alas FSC was not one of them.

Surprisingly, AT&T seems to have the most HD channels.

Here's for some irony... was driving around yesterday and saw a Comcast truck plastered with a gigantic photo of a club player heading a soccer ball. Written on the side was something about how Comcast delivers the most HD. I think the only reason they're not losing more than they are (which is a big amount already) is because of captive renter markets (i.e. people who can't move to satellite).

Keep in mind that much of that "HD" is what they call "choices." Many of these "choices" include free VOD which can be anywhere from one to five minutes. Some of the free VOD around 5-7 minutes can include a commercial. By the time you get the "You're watching G4 On Demand" intro and the commercial, there isn't much left. :(

    Some "HD" that is.

We are going about this the wrong way.

Compile a listing of sponsors/advertisers and contact them directly telling them that you are no longer watching FSC thus will not be buying their products.

Do you currently buy proactiv solution, international calling cards, credit repair service, bosley hair restoration, sylvania TVs and blu-ray players, or "who are ya" brand t-shirts? If not, your boycott will do nothing, and the other 14 people that boycott won't have bought any of their advertiser's services either.

A boycott won't work. just bother comcast until they add it. It's seeming to work with FIOS. Bitching at FIOS on twitter directly resulted in them moving it up the priority list (according to their PR guy on twitter it will be the next HD channel added and said it was moved up the list because of all the twitter requests for it)

Comcast is set to add FSC HD in at least a couple of markets:

Source: NM Public Notices via DSLReports

Some of these channels, notably ESPNU and Big Ten Network HD are already on some Comcast systems, so who knows when this will go nationwide. But it is progress!

Unfortunately, still no word from Comcast here in the Bay Area. Hopefully FSC HD just magically appears on the 17th:confused:

U-verse is reportedly going to start offering FS+ in February on channel 653, however not in HD.

Ugh. Thanks for passing on the bad news. I have Comcast outside DC, so I'm guessing we'll be getting the same HD channels rolled out next year :(

The jewelry channel -- OK, sure, whatever. I'm sure they want the stuff to glisten when they're peddling it.

But the Game Show Network, half of which consists of old '70s shows on cheap videotape? MavTV, whatever that is? Hub -- huh?

I don't know why Comcast has a bug up its ass about adding FSC-HD, but it really needs to get a clue. Surely there have been more of us clamoring for it than there are people asking for any of the above.
