My opinion is that any song we did as Wizards before, stays Wizards or Wiz. It's a great way to help push Wizards as what we want for our nickname. Any objections to that or an argument on why we should change them?

We can decide on anything new as to what we are comfortable with for that song.

Suggest away. With the new supporters club next year, I think it will be easier to teach these to each other and get em right the first or second time.

I am strongly entenched in the keep the Wiz/Wizards chants as they are. As Jeff mentioned, moving foward new chants can be created around Wizards or Sporting.

Also, keep the Supporter section as The Cauldron! Too many people have spent too much money & time over the last decade building the Cauldron to just toss it aside. That's just my opinion, which can be just as easily tossed aside.....

Yep yep yep -- it has the added benefit of stopping arguments from people that we have abandoned all tradition. If a good Sporting song comes along awesome, but lets leave everything else as it is.

Completely agree. The Cauldron and Wizards should not change.

I am fine with keeping the Cauldron, but I would like to see the majority of the songs be related to Sporting KC with a few old Wizards chants mixed in.

It's like our Kop. Everything should remain, add on's welcome. But really, it's the soundtrack of the game. The Uniforms, logos, stadiums changed, but the hardcore supporters just grew in size consistantly. Maybe the only constant.

I have actually been thinking if we change chants we make them more city centered than team name. So we say KC or Kansas City vs Sporting.

I just think its better to connect to our city than the former brand.

Disagree. Keep all the Wiz/Wizards chants and come up with new ones.

    Get creative everyone.

agreed. we need to find a way to get it in use (in some form or another) The "L" shape of the cauldron can be a strength here. It will take some work, with at least two capos, a 2 core group of chanters that knows whats going on and the work of 1 big freaking drum.

It is complicated at first, but when you break it down, it is really just a chorus and a verse, both pretty short. It is doable.

I like the idea of a L shaped Cauldron, but we also lose the behind the goal advantage. Kinda a trade off.

I haven't heard anyone discuss it seriously. I think it's a perfect blend between the past and the future.

I also really like how Sporting sounds in Oj's Horto Magiko. Maybe a couple lines to change but we can spread it if we start with 20 people on each side that know it and have practiced it together in the Cauldron Club.

I agree 100% with Jeff, we can make Wizards/Wiz the unofficial nick name of the team. It keeps with tradition and it shows that we still have power as fans.

Two stands, two capos, we should get some walkie talkies for them to bring in to work on the same chants together.

I wasn't thinking big enough. Thinking of just going in the corner. I can see what he meant now.
If we can get enough people to create a L shape, I think that'd be a pretty unique advantage and something that we could be known for (not that it hasn't been done before, but we could make it our own).

Also, as was just said, walkie talkies wouldn't be a bad idea. I don't normally sit with the group, but I think I just might next season to help bolster the numbers.

Well that's a perfect example of a sporting club. That song started in the stands for their soccer team and now you can hear it at every sport they do.
