Barcelona spends all this money to create a great team every year and it fails. Why doesn't Barcelona follow the example of D. Cuenca? D Cuenca does not pay their players on time. They are owed 3 or more months. D Cuenca does not invest in great and expensive players and in the past years they have been in the top places of the tournament. At this moment, D Cuenca is in first place. How about that? Which philosophy is better? I believe the players of Barcelona are pampered too much and they do not deserve that. They should train and practice in "La canchita de tierra" so they could get down and dirty in order to play rough not soft the way they are doing at this moment.

in the past 12 years plus Barcelona has invested on worn down players and inactive players who come to the team injured or out of shape. And expensive ones at that. Juan Samudio would have been good for barcelona maybe 4 years ago when he was in his prime at Libertad, not now when hes 32 and getting closer to hanging up his boots. Barcelona invests money on 1 or two good players a season and the fans expect that those 1/2 guys to win games and make it happen when the rest of the team isn't solid. The team Barcelona had this year was the most decent one i've seen in a while. For a team to have a solid structure you MUST MUST MUST have a good youth system so you don't ONLY rely on the older guys and the foreigners. If you don't have a youth system then there's less competition within the team. I was watching an interview with Insua a few days ago and he said that even in D.Quito he had a ton of players he was able to work with. I think more than 10 guys from the youth system that he consistently was working with throughout the season plus the older guys. And he said at Barcelona, he only has 2-3 juveniles who are possibly ready to play an actual game. Thats what affects the team. We don't gotta go too far, look at Independiente...look at Emelec. Solid foundations in their youth system. Emelec suffered a few years ago with those sh*tty foreigners like el trapo Vega and company who didn't do sh*t on the pitch. But that whole time they worked hard with the younger group of guys. And the product of that is Enner Valencia, Marcos Caicedo, Fernando Gaibor, Eduardo Morante, and to some extent even Jaime Ayovi. Independiente feeds a ton of players to the u-17 and u-20 NT. And on top of that their a smart team that spots talent immediately and takes hold of it.

Luis Bolanos has been sh*t in barcelona this year just like i predicted. And now i hear Holger matamoros is about to transfer there too. Not trying to disrespect the club, but his career is gonna go on a downfall if he makes that move. He's gonna be forgotten next season. Right now, it's not a smart move for anyone to go to Barcelona unless they're really serious about what they're gonna do. And theres few of those players in the past 12 years that take it seriously.

Emelec vs D Cuenca is a key game. Emelec has to win it if they want to stop one of the top contenders of the league. Emelec needs to keep on adding points in order to win it all without playing against another team for the Championship. It is do or die for Emelec. Anything could happen in a "Repechaje" type of elimination between two teams.

looks like Cristian Suarez isn't going to be in El Nacional anymore. D.chiquitos gonna get him. http://www.futbolecuador.com/stories/publica/17220

el nacional fans seems quite glad. they don't need him anyway, he was an infection to the team and especially marlon de jesus

Barcelona needs to win their game this Sunday vs LDU Q. So they could help themselves and other teams that are in the fight for better positions including Emelec.

Bauza is making a dumb move for both fronts, he wants to have the same guys in consideration for the Barcelona game. Theres gonna be muscle exhaustion and possible injuries if he doesn't play it smart. I'd definitely leave out key players like Cevallos, Ulises, Reasco, Chila, Barcos, and Norberto Araujo out for this game. We can take on Barcelona with lots of the subs we have, i hope Bauza is aware of that and doesn't feel the pressure to start our key guys just b/c we're playing Barcelona.

What happened with Barcelona? They had to win this game vs LDU Q in Guayaquil. What a disgrace! Barcelona has 2 games left. One in Ambato vs Macará and the last game vs Independiente in Guayaquil. Both teams and/or one of them could end up complicating Barcelona.

jose luis perlaza can suck a fat one. he should have been red carded when he pulled that flying punch on Dominguez. Avatar lookin mother f*cker.

if our defense wouldn't have gone to sleep on that one play we could have been 3 points away from the Final. Glad Macara surprised and beat Cuenca, that's helping us out a ton.

Cuenca has 38 points, 2 games left...a maximum of 44 points can be achieved by them.

Emelec has 37 points, 3 games left...and can achieve a max of 46 points.

Liga has 43 points, 3 games left...and can achieve a max of 49 points.

yeah basically...and your right we can reach a max of 52 points, that was a math error.

Im pretty sure we have 2 games at home out of the next three and i hope we crush D.Quito and kill their chances of any libertadores.

I'm disappointed in MJ Quinonez moving there next season.

Well then hopefully Rueda calls him up when he is playing well...it looks to me like he has a man crush on Cuchara Caicedo and Checa and pretty much a lot of Dep. Quito players. Surprised he did not call up Oswaldo Mina.

MJ's been doing really well lately, assisting the majority of El nacional's goal and having really great games. I'm sure Rueda has an eye out for him now, but wasn't previously knowledgeable of him b/c when he assumed the manager position MJ Quinonez was injured for a few weeks and disappeared from the starting 11 in El nacional for a while. Preciados' been doing well the past 3 games and got his starting spot back.

And about cuchara Caicedo and Checa, YES!! he's in love with them and they're old and garbage. What the hell is special about those two pieces of crap? And Eduardo Morante, totally ignored.

Auspiciante + Contratos Televisivos = Way less than Barcelona, Liga, Emelec, and probably el nacional.
How much did Dquito receive for Arroyo?
And isn't Fernandez only on Loan until December? why would they get anything IF fernandez gets transfered?
