The Creighton men take on the #1 team in the country AKRON, live on the Big Screen @ The Old Mattress Factory 13th & Cass - Omaha - NE. Meet @ 6 Kick @ 6:30!! Be There!
You have to make sure you've got the Sports Pack or whatever DirecTV calls it. It's the one that gives you all the regional networks plus FSC, GolTV and others
^^^^ Thanks! We confirmed with the GM of the place and they said we are good to go! Should be a great game! Cheers!
Cox cable in Omaha announced this morning (Tuesday) that they will also run the game live on Channel 2 if you are in eastern NE...
I'm in Chicago - I may have to try a couple sports bars and see if they'll air it. Either that or fork up 10 bucks for a GoZips multimedia account. A bit steep for one game, but what are you going to do?
Creighton takes on SIU - Edwardsville tonight @ 7 PM in MVC Valley Play! Creighton men's soccer hasn't lost consecutive matches since August 2006. Not lost two straight home matches since 1985.
I predict a 5-0 win tonight. Creighton is getting past the Akron loss because this game counts for the conference championship. With the Creighton women winning the MVC Championship on Thursday, the men are poised to beat SIU - Edwardsville tonight.
Creighton takes on MVC standings Co-leader Missouri State tomorrow night at Morrison Stadium. Winner will take the lead with one conference game left to play... Go JAYS!!!
OK... Creighton wins 2-0 over Missouri State on a ridiculously windy pitch, and they are now guaranteed at least a piece of The MVC Regular Season Championship Title. Sergio gets his first goal of the season, the other goal was an own goal on Mo. State... Final game of the regular season is this Saturday @ Noon!!! Go JAYS!!!
Creighton Bluejays win the MVC regular season title outright by virtue of tonight's Mo. State / SIU-Edwardsville 2x OT draw!!! Final Valley Standings: CU - 5-1-1 Mo. State - 4-1-2 SIU-E - 4-1-2 a little better than the pre-season 3rd pick...
Yes, yes they did. And Akron lost to Cleveland State... Shit happens... We'll see them again next week most likely.
And so it turns out... Creighton vs. Bradley rematch Friday night in Round 2 of the MVC Tournament. Winner to the final...
Video? Anybody else having problems watching the live video now (Creighton vs Bradley)? It's not working at all!!!!!
Any thoughts from those who saw the Creighton-Bradley game? I wasn't able to see it. Found this paragraph in the game writeup, though: (emphasis mine)
From the feed and now game notes the Jays out played Bradley but coughed up two sloppy goals and with amn down injured seemed to await the officails call but with no call coming, BU got a shot off that glanced off the post for the win. The Jays had 20 or so shots again on BU. Finley was roughed up consistently all game long drawing three yellow cards along with being double teamed. Finley was still dangerouse despite the attention and antics of defenders. Jays were not as sharp in the second half with passing and finding open guys.
I concur. Friday's game was a mess for some odd reason. Brian Holt was out of the goal for the second goal by Bradley. Basically out of position to the left of the goal. No way to get back in time. Also, Bradley had one goal called back due to it being offsides. Very close offsides too, really the game should have been a 4-2 game. Creighton is losing steam going into the tourney. Let's hope there is a new revival/hope at home on Thursday (if they don't get the bye.) They need to refocus and bring back the desire from the beginning of the year.
Jays will redivert all their energy into a strong NCAa showing, hey this is an all new season and it is simple ...win and you continue to play. I like the extra rest the Jays are getting and now they escape the MVC football league. These men have a ton of pride and will be hungry for the next round and happy to be there after a year off. Looking for greg to step and better passing in the offensive side of the field.
Appears the Jays have rebounded tonight with a 4-1 win over New Mexico with Ethan Finlay leading the pace with a two goal outing. Great play by Polak and Jordan tonight. Off to Dallas on Sunday.
