Hmmmm....now that is peular. That might be why I see my posts in someone else'e panel...because I am not that person and I am viewing it as an outsider. Interesting.

    Nice catch, DE.

How about a sub-section for FIFA/ELO rankings under World Soccer. Every time FIFA releases the ranks, there is instant condemnation of the system followed by posts that explain the ranking and so on... and cycle repeats ad nauseam, month after month. Also, the same ( or similar) discussions are repeated at different locations on the board. We have identical discussions going on at the Asian Football Boards, the German NT Boards and the Rest of Europe Boards. So, a central location to discuss rankings, would save BS some bandwidth in the longer run. :p
Also it could have a sticky thread explaining the rankings for the benefit of everyone.

    Just a thought.

    Again:

If someone starts a thread, they should have unlimited edit powers (their posts only) within that thread. Think about having to update a pre-match thread. You could go back to that first post and update TV and kickoff information as it becomes known.

Agreed. maybe give these "powers" to someone that has already started "X" number of threads and so fourth.

I wanted to acknowledge that I read this and thinking if we can make it happen.

Talk to Huss or the supermods about it, but I believe the edit limit was put in place to combat a user who no longer posts at this site.

With the user in question no longer active, why not loosen things up a bit?

I could probably live with it, even if it meant a "last edited by..." line on the bottom, which some posts actually already have.

How about the same 30-40 animated smilies the other sites have? You all know what i'm talking about. And no, i'm not being sarcastic.

Put it on your holiday wishlist?

I'll keep it mind and ask Huss about it.

Sorry didn't answer sooner on this - I consulted with the mods of the forum and the feeling was that the rankings are part of the forum and that they weren't frequent enough to warrant a separate forum. Thanks for the suggestion though and we will keep it in mind if the forum does grow to the point that we need to consider separating some discussions off to other forums.

It would come in handy every now and then, but for the most part I don't really see this as something that we need very often. My preference is that we leave it as is. What's the rationale for considering a change?

I'm 100% against this one. Smiley's don't improve the quality of discussion around here.

Now see, DK? If there was a facepalm smiley then you would have been able to respond in kind right now. :p

Rep given by noobs should change from gray to the appropriate color on their reaching the required number of posts.

I often get rep from noobs with no comment and have no way of knowing if that rep was positive or negative.

I bet if you added animated smiley's as an incentive to upgrade to BS Premium, it would be quite a haul. Although I agree with you....

How about doing away with the font options - just keep everything one font - easier on the eyes

Easier on whose eyes? That is precisely why we need different fonts. Now I would not be adverse to an option that defaults everything to whatever font you want.

Ugh. No, yuck. Now, maybe there should be an option so the reader can change his default font as desired. But not for posters.

Otherwise you end up with a board that's a big ugly mess like this, and it becomes quite unwelcoming and inefficient and ripe for clicking away.
