The BSG, Class VI & Pid Army are planning to join forces this Friday night in a joint march down Denver's 16th Street Mall in order to promote the importance of Saturday's MLS Eastern Conference Final Fans are due to meet at either the British Bulldog or Katie Mullan's from 6.30pm this Friday. The march will begin from the Bulldog at 7pm & proceed to Katie Mullan's arriving around 7.15pm. It will then head down 16th Street as far as Market Street before returning back up the mall. As well as playing their part in raising awareness of the biggest soccer game in Denver for years, participants will receive an exclusive Adidas 'MLS Cup 2010' T-Shirt for their time. cool. The march from the Celtic after the game on Saturday looked pretty good. Make sure to get some good video!
What if you don't want to go to the Bulldog and want to meet at Katie Mullins....who should we contact then?
By the way - I strongly encourage EVERYONE to join in on this....Class VI and Pid Army sponatneously marched down the 16th street Mall last Saturday after the Rapids advanced....check out how AWESOME it looked! Class VI/Pid Army March 16th St Mall 11/6/10
Pid Army and Class VI will be meeting at Katie Mullens around 6:30 pm Friday. Please anyone show up there. It is a great place to start the big march as it is at the southern tip of the 16th St. Mall. Address is 1550 Court st. Many of us will show up there early and toss a few back in preparation for the march. Keep your eye peeled on www.nofanalone.com, something will be posting there with details I am sure. If you have questions, you can also post them on the Pid Army facebook page and we'll try and answer your questions ASAP.
I just sent out an email to CVIers ... if you need to contact me about Katie Mullens and such ... you can email mark@nofanalone.com Hope to see lots of faces there!
I was wondering the exact opposite. Are there going to be more people marching than filming it? You know, like one of Houston's supporters groups who always seem to have a sizeable group of shutterbugs to follow them around. 15 or so and then a barrier of 10 taking pictures. It always make me laugh.
The march made the bottom of tthe article about the game on 9news http://www.9news.com/news/article.aspx?storyid=163091&catid=339
Tonight's march was so incredibly fun, I can't even describe it. I wish we would have gone back up and down the mall a few more times. Great work by ALL supporters groups involved. It wasn't a PID march, it wasn't a Bulldog's march, it wasn't a Class VI march, IT WAS A RAPIDS SUPPORTERS MARCH, and it's a damn shame that some people can't understand that. (I only mention this due to some bitterness found on Facebook regarding one supporters group vs another)
