I'm thinking that this is the right title for the Charlie Davies issue, meaning that his club is taking their time with him, allowing him regain his pre-October 2009 form from that nasty accident he was in & that with his training & a lil' bit of patience, he will be back with a bang......with the little controversies here & there. Guys & gals, what do you think............
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) excellent title. cant wait to see him back in form
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) This ^^^ Two Razorbacks in the first 4. Saweet.
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) Nice title. OT - Petrino sucks! Make sure you Razorbacks disinfect when he abandons you for the next better deal.
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) Sooooo . . . Charlie is back playing full matches for Sochaux's reserve side. What's the over/under that he gets a call to South Africa this month? Certainly not the call everyone was hoping for 14 months ago, but it might makes sense now given the fact that we are not calling in the A squad.
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) BB is a joke if he doesn't take CD to South Africa with him! I will turn my back on the USMNT if he doesn't take him!
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) CD and South Africa friendly. Thing I'm certain of: BB has already, or will, have a conversation with the Sochaux coaching staff about CD's progress and whether it makes sense, for Charlies, the USMNT, and Sochaux for him to get called up. Thing I have no idea the answer to: What Sochaux will say to Bob. Thing I suspect: CD won't get called up for SA. I don't think he's quite ready yet, I don't think Sochaux wants to risk it at this point, and I think it might be painful for CD to play in one of the stadiums he would have played in during the WC, had he not been in the wreck.
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) I think his skin is a little thicker and he would revel at the chance to play for the National Team again. Anywhere.
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) My UNeducated guess would be that Bob talks with Sochaux. Sochaux sticks to their guns and says he's not ready and better served staying with the club following his prescribed rehab program and that Bob leaves it at that. And, for me in this case, they'd be right. He's where he needs to be atm. I don't get how Bob's "a joke" for not taking a player who's definitely not 100% fit and on form. Yes, the circumstances suit taking players who are on the fringe of in season clubs and players who have just finished their seasons, but deciding that a player who's obviously not where they should be form wise should not set any coach up for criticism.
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) He wouldn't even go to South Africa to be with the team when he wasn't picked, despite both Sochaux and USSF doctors telling him that he wasn't ready.
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) Because he couldn't play. Besides it was freakin' winter down there.
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) Could be wrong, but I took it as a sarcastic post mimicking some of the Davies hysteria pre-WC.
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) If that's the case I apologize. I definitely didn't read it that way.
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) I dont understand why davies wasnt called in. The other strikers are all terrible
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) The best thing for him is probably to stay with his club and continue working his way back toward the first team.
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) Hopefully Charlie won't have to miss a game or two to testify. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/soccerinsider/2010/11/federal_charges_filed_in_auto.html#more
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) anyone know when the next reserve game is?
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) Charlie started but was sub Ed after 12 minutes las week in a reserve game. http://www.fcsochaux.fr/fr/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2206&Itemid=106 There was a game yesterday but I don't know if Davies played. http://www.fcsochaux.fr/fr/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2228&Itemid=106
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) Yeah, that's what is keeping him out of the lineup.
Re: Sochaux & Steady: Davies will win the race (The Saga Continues) Davies article in the washington post http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/11/17/AR2010111705955.html
