f*ckin awesome!!! We tied with a really strong team. Now we gotta win in Quito and be in the Semi-Finals. So close, but lots of work that still needs to be gone. VAMOS LIGA!!!!

brutally stressful final 20 mins...Reasco held the ball way too long on a few posessions when easy passes were available. Next game I'm sure we'll go out with Salgueiro and Lara as starters.

It was a real defensive battle. Great work from the team, but also Newells finishing was really poor. Cevallos made great saves tho!

Great 0-0 tie of LDU Q vs Newell's Old Boys in Rosario, Argentina. It looks like they are going to win this Copa Sudamericana again.

In Newell's there was a Borghello, is that the same player that used to play for D. Quito?

that guy was complete garbage in D.Quito from Jan-June of this year. crazy to see him starting in newells when he rode bench a ton of times in D.Quito just a few months ago.

Borghello was decent At Dep Quito. i think he got injured in that time frame. Rumor has it that he might go to Barcelona next year.

    Re: Off-Topic Ecuador

he was decent exactly a year ago when D.Quito signed him for the Segunda Etapa. He did well in the liguilla too. But in the first half of this season he was crap. He probably scored like 2 goals at most and barely played. All of D.Quito's argentine forwards were crap this year.

we're playing Cuenca on Sunday. Norberto Araujo, Barcos, and Ulises are in doubt for this game, hopefully Araujo can get better. My line up for Cuenca:

Dominguez; Guagua, Araujo, Calderon; Reasco, Urrutia, C.Lara, W.Araujo, M.Ganchoso; Salgueiro, C.Luna

or Dominguez; Guagua, Araujo, Calderon; Reasco, Urrutia, M.Bolanos, W.Araujo, M.Ganchoso; C.Lara, C.Luna (Salgueiro)

    Re: LDU Quito

I think Barcos might have had a knee issue during the game in one of the challenges with the NOB defense. Araujo from what I heard might play this weekend, and Ulises actually has been riding a small ankle injury since the weekend. Luckily, we have guys that can step up because of a good bench. I expect a strong game regardless of who starts.

Enrique Vera back to Liga? Is it me or does Vera really hate playing in Mexico? When LDU won the Copa libertadores he was hands down the best holding mid in South America. he goes to Mexico and disappears. O.K.. He comes back to LDU and he's a beast again. Than he goes back to Mexico and dissappears again. I watched a Highlight of him and I literally fell out of my chair laughing. He would make the most ridiculous challenges I have never ever seen him make those horrible choices in Ecuador, Playing for Paraguay or Playing the Copa Libs and Copa Sud.....

    Re: LDU Quito

Yea I read something like that in a Liga forum where Vera would come back to Liga in exchange for Barcos. Idk about the exchange, I prefer some cash coming to Liga on a Bieler transfer since Fossati wants him on his team. That way Barcos can stay and Vera is bought.

we only need to win 2 more games to be in the Campeonato FINAL. no matter if cuenca and emelec win all their games they have left. Just 2 more games! WE GOT THIS!!! let's go LIGA!!! Next game is against Barcelona in the Monumental, then we have 3 games left against El Nacional (Home), D.Quito (Home), and Manta (away). Tough, but not impossible.

GRANDE LIIIIIIIIIIIGAA!!! i f*ckin LOVE YOU mama Calderon!!! I can't believe he scored the winner i had multiple heart attacks in this game.

props to Newells it's probably the toughest team we've played since San Lorenzo and America in the 08 Libertadores. And Sebastian Peretta's a f*ckin BEAST, screw Andujar and Romero this guys something else he deserves to be called up to the argie NT.

What a great win for Liga the best player for us was salgaido. Tough team we faced tonight. We really missed Urrutia and a healthy UDLC bc the midfield was Not as solid as other games. The NOB back line was great I was fearing we would go to PK's but we pulled it through Vamos Liga Campeon!!!
