I low key think everyone overrates Urrutia, that dude's preety weak. I agree with you that Dario Bone is a good option but Keneth Arce has a long way to go, the other 2 aren't liga material, as far as center backs go I think we should get Isaac mina and play him as a CB his preety sick but under rated and Bauza should give Gabriel Espinoza more chances he's young and had some preety clean games. Other than that Liga doesn't need more players, all Bauza has to do is use the players that I've mentioned and that he used in the game against the Chileans

As far as the Joao rojas/Miller Boanos thing goes. I think both will get their chances in europe in the future, they are both really big prospects. The reason why many people talk shit about rojas is because after the WC qualifiers he hasn't done well for the NT but thats because they been given him just a few minutes on the pitch.

    Re: LDU Quito

Isaac Mina isn't too bad for Liga. I disagree on Miguel Ibarra and Mario Pineida not being Liga material. They're both really important players for the teams they play in: Catolica and Independiente, both teams that are relatively weak but somehow they stand out in the majority of their games. Mario Pineida actually has qualities to be able to play as a center back, he's really solid for such a young age. OH and i forgot one other name: John Narvaez from Cuenca. It's surprising to see these two young guys have such good quality at a young age. Most defenders their age hesitate when they're put on the pitch. In Ecuador, it takes a ton of time to notice qualities in a defender. Miguel Ibarra is a really good player too and mature enough to fit in and adapt quickly. Of course, my first option over anyone in the league would be either Eduardo Morante or Jefferson Hurtado but they're closer to being out of ecuador than moving to another team in the league.

well I admit Pineida is a really hot young prospect(no homo), he is around 18 or 19 years old so he definitely has a future. I did see him score a ridiculous own goal a few weeks ago. anyway he is too young to break into Liga's 1st team if he went to Ldu he will be sitting on the bench all the time and it is better for him to get playing time so in the future he could join Liga once he has developed into LDU 1st team material. Miguel Ibarra is good but I doubt him being better than Reasco, people tend to talk sh*t about Neicer but honestly he is probably the best Right back in Ecuador right now. I agree with you 100% on Narvaez he has a bright future ahead, in my opinion the best young right back in ecuador. Hurtado and Morante are both great but I don't think we need them, like I said Liga is a complete team its just that Bauza hasn't been giving the right players the chance. (really looking foward to the Gk's Mendoza & Jaramillo their the best youth gk's in the country.

    Re: LDU Quito

Reasco is still the best right back. But next year, i can bet you Reasco's performance along with Ulises is going to be extremely inconsistent. Bauza knows this. He mentioned the age of lots of these guys as a future problem and that he slowly is looking for and preparing the young guys who will take their places. Reasco has been inconsistent this year. He has some really good games, regular games, and ones where hes no where to be found. It's not b/c he sucks, it's b/c his age is a factor and thats the life of a footballer. Reasco is about to be 33 or probably already is 33. We can't expect him to push it much more than what he already has. Ulises is 36 i think. It's important to slowly start bringing in the young guys into the pitch some time soon. Or it's gonna be like the NT, we're gonna depend on the past glories of the old guys to help us win tomorrow.

Btw, i heard Luis Bolanos is crying to come back to Liga now hahahha. I called it!!! That's what he gets for being a traitor.

Hey all...I'm from Finland and dont know much about Ecuadorian football. I'm interested in knowing how's Norberto Araujo been playing this season? He played here 14 years ago so that's the only link to LDU for me. :D

I'd also appreciate a link to a website (in english) where i could follow LDU. Like see fixtures/tables/stats etc.

    Thank you!

    Re: LDU Quito

right now Norberto araujo is injured but hes Liga's best defender and has been a key member of the team when Liga con the Copa Libertadores 2008, Copa Sudamericana 2009, Recopa 2009, and Recopa 2010. He's a great defender with lots of class.

As far as a site in english, i dont know of one.

I read something about him maybe getting Ecuadors citizenship? Are they still pushing that thru or has it been buried?

Sounds good. You think he will be in the first 11 in NT right away? Who would he replace? He's 31 now...alltho with no injuries he may have 5-6 years in the top tiers.

    Re: LDU Quito

5-6 is really pushin it. I'd say 2 more years or so but who knows playing at this level. I'd be nice to see him on our NT b/c the defense is our shakiest area, but who knows if he'll be part of the NT.

Well maybe i am being a bit too optimistic. :) But he seems like physically fit player. And Hurtado played for your NT till 35...so thumbs up.

    Re: LDU Quito

Hurtado played relatively great til he hit 32 or 33, after that it was a night mare with him. Now Hurtado isn't with our NT. Certain players begin declining at different times but it sounds a bit unrealistic for Araujo to be around doing really well at age 35. who knows.

well that is true they are pretty old and inconsistent but idk who will be our new right back.... Oh and i heard Geovanny la cuchara caicedo is coming to ldu, that is probably one of the worse signings we could've made.

lol yeah Bolanos wants to come back and Esteban Paz seems to want him back but i doubt Bauza will want him, I always thought he was over rated and a traitor for going to Barce, I truely jope he doesn't come to our club. If there is any MF from ecuador that I will want on Liga is David Quiroz but I dont think we need him.

    Re: LDU Quito

David Quiroz has been really good this year. There's were times in the first half of the year where he was inconsistent but he's shown his best futbol in his career this year. Luis Bolanos isn't really needed in Liga, the left side is covered. He was a really great player, not overrated from my point of view...he was just a dumbass when it came to making decisions in his career. One bad decision after another. And on top of that he backstabbed Liga tricking us that he'd come back. He's probably calling Esteban Paz every day now trying to return to Liga for being a dumbass. That's what he gets.

after the game vs. Independiente that's coming up is the most most intense part of this year. We have games against Cuenca, Barcelona, El Nacional plus the Copa Sudamericana.

    Re: LDU Quito

Gio Caicedo is not bad. He is a tower of power. Any ball that comes in the air is out in a flash. He is a defender we need. He comes up with goals here and there too. With Araujo and Guagua marshalling him, and Calderon too, we are covered guys.

And if anyone says Reasco is the best RB in Ecuador is either blind or his family member cuz that guy misses the easiest goals, he disappears and he can't beat his marker like he used to. Face it, he is a weak link and it is sad to see this, but it is true. Urrrutia is our real captain.

DLC need to move over. Seriously, does he think he is maldini? lol

Guys, we need a GOALKEEPER too!! Remember, Cevallos is gonna hang his legendary gloves soon. I donno about u, but i cant put any more faith in Dida. We should look at getting Klimoviosc (SP?) who is playign second fiddle to Elizaga. Would be a good signing.

And I agree that we need Quiroz! Ibarra would be a great signing too.

This season, as old as De la cruz is, he's done better than Urrutia by a long shot. I don't think he'll last much longer, but he's been awesome for his age. Urrutia hasn't impressed me this season, his games average to be regular performances all the time.

I love all these results, olmedo beat cuenca, las ñañas del guasmo tied (as usual) a win by barcelona is asking too much, and we won our game. All we need to do now is win against cuenca saturday and were one step closer for la decima. Lets just win tomorow and go home and prepare for saturday.

Not even a win just a draw would be nice tomorrow. Hopefully the boys can hold the argentinians and get a good result. I expect good things from Luna tomorrow. He's been great these last few weeks. Actually our whole frontline has been great I expect good things but a draw or an away goal is not out of the question

We'll depend big time on El Beto on the back tomorrow as well. I'm glad he's back from his injury.

Ohh yea I understand a tie is nice especially if we get away goals, but imagine if we get a win today, the mentality of the players would be more calm and relaxed for saturdays game as opposed to putting more pressure. Anyway hoy con todo Liga que estamos en camino por la quinta y la decima en la mira!

i tend to think liga plays horrible and loses focus when they're relaxed. I don't mind the pressure at all, i think that's what motivates the team to work hard.
